Jamie is a 13-year-old girl just into her seventh year of school
and her 4th year as a Magic: The Gathering duelist. She has quickly
became the top player in her neighborhood, and some are even comparing
her to a certain spiky-haired kid in a popular television show about
a diffrent card game.
If only they know how similar they are. One day, Jamie was with her
father on an Archelogical Dig, and discovered one of the many Dominarian
Books. As fate would have it, this Book was the one which the Planeswalker's
spirit resides. Jamie managed to open the book to release the spirit,
who warned her of other Earthlings who had such books and have aquired
Dominarian Magic. By tapping into Earth's mana for their spells, these
wizards may--and do--bring chaos to the planet. When one such wizard
attacked her father, Jamie accepted the Planeswalker's spirit by adoning
her pendant, which was enclosed with the book, and allowing the spirit
to move through her via this pendant.
Back home, Jamie goes around her life as normal, even though she apparently
has a new "Invisible Friend" to talk to, looking forward to
the adventures she'll have saving Earth from Dominaria, just as the Planeswalker
did so long ago. And if she becomes a contender in the new Holographic League in the meantime, more power to her.
Of all the characters, Jamie has the most expansive collection of 'spells' to use. Nevermind that she can only cast them as cards. She's known to have at her possession at least 3 decks to use in duels at all times, and is constantly tweaking them. At least one of these decks is her favored Red Heavy Sligh, but she's known to use whatever deck works regardless of color; she's a texbook 'Spike'. (A player that wants to win as often as possible.) The many decks she has covers the whole spectrum: Constructed and Limited, Standard, Extended, Type 1--she's one of only two people in her home town Landings, LV that actually owns the Power Nine--Highlander, 5-color, Multiplayer, and so on. The only type of game she won't play is Ironman; she considers ripping up cards pure blashemy, no matter how screwy a rare is. She constantly works on her decks, incorporating the newest and latest sets into her battery of decks as they come out, and gathering information from every possible means. |
