You Say Maraca, I Say, uh... Maraca I can't tell you in words what you do to me, baby. Maybe it's the bright red with cheap (but festive) triangle-pattern stickers. Maybe it's that yellow button that gives me a guideline for placing my thumb. Maybe it's the wacky monkey-footprint floorpad that has that fresh innertube smell. Maybe it's the notably heavy sensor bar with orange Velcro holders. Or maybe it's just the removable rattles. All I know is...I want you. I want you inside of me. *sticks his newly-acquired Samba de Amigo maracas up his nose* Mmm, yeah... *looks at the awkward stares he's receiving* Hey, you guys wanna play Samba?! *removes the maracas from his nostrils and offers them around the room* Sure? Okay, but don't say I didn't offer.

I got my maracas and I'm a happy man, but I'll be even happier when I get the game and can actually use them. October 17, you can't come quick enough...just over a month to go... *sigh* In the meanwhile, I've been amusing myself by playing "catch-up" on the Phantasy Stars of yore. Tragically, I lost all the data in the folder that had my PS2 stuff, including all those screenshots I was gonna use for the Legacy page. Darn. I had pics of all the characters and everything, too. Didn't even see any of the cool plot twists like the death of Nei and the total destruction of Palma. Not that they'd have been cool since I knew they were coming, but...y'know. Anyone wanna donate some screenshots of PS2? 'Cause I'm sure not playing through that again. But the show must go on, so I've updated the PSO Game info page with the character creation details. Oh yeah, y'all may have caught Core Magazine's recent interview with Takao Miyoshi and a couple of fellas on the PSO team...I got the gist of it right here.

And a progress report...in order to trim down the daunting task of completing the Sonic Dictionary, I've eliminated the Zones from the listings. It's redundant when I've already got info and screens of nearly every Zone there is throughout the game pages in the Museum. But moreover, the Dictionary is being created as a guideline to the mythology of Sonic, meaning only things that really have an impact on the continuing Sonic story arc are detailed, and the Zones are really more closely related to the gameplay -- the "reality", if you will -- of the Sonicverse. And info of that district, obviously, already has a devoted home in the Museum. It is slow going, so please bear with me. Surely all my fellow college-goers who are also managing part-time jobs will sympathize with me. So sympathize, darnit.

Oh yeah, I must apologize for today's quote. I'm sure it's quite uncouth to highlight a quote from oneself, and I made it a policy some time ago never to use my own quotes regardless of how clever they were...but I just have to share this one. It's dying to be said.
