The Itto Clan is a Japanese Ninja Clan dating back to the Sengoku (Civil War) era, when they discovered an artifact known as the 'Shroud of Fear.' This artifact, when activated, creates a field that causes dreadful hallucinations in its victims and paralyzes them with fear. With it, they hoped to bring peace and order to their land. But along the way, the clan had an epiphany: They can end war with this device, but not bring peace. The morality of using the Shroud is nonexistent.
Because of this, the clan swore never to see this artifact used again. They buried it in an unknown cave, its location forgotten to almost every member. This proved a source for a lot of grief in WWII's Imperial Japan, who wanted to use the Shroud as a doomsday device. At least until the Americans redefined what a Doomsday Device really is. After the war, the Itto clan reinvented themselves as a technological conglomerate known as Itto Electronics. Specializing in small consumer products such as Digital televisions and radios, Cel phones, the new game console known as the GameMaster, and others that swept the Asian region. By the time Itto Electronics' long-time CEO, Itto KAGEHITO, passed away, the company has become a major player in the Electronic world, and has branched out into Europe and the Americas. But that is changing with the new CEO, Kagehito's son, Itto KAGEKUMO. Once he took over both clan and company, he started shoveling as much money as he could into R&D, going into pharmaceuticals. This proves strange to the general public, wondering why the Itto company is branching out into an unrelated industry. Tubby realized what he thinks is the truth when a friend of his who worked for the company was found in a hysterical state of insanity after talking to him about what is happening: Kagekumo was inspired by the Shroud of Fear, and has been researching drugs that will have the exact same effect on their users. That's only half the truth. The whole truth is that he's looking for the actual artifact itself. The Itto buildings look like normal steel and glass buildings with only the Itto logo on them. There is nothing outside of the building, or in the majority of the floors, that shows anything other than your average business building. At the upper floors, however, things are different. The interiors resemble those of Tokugawa-era Japanese Castles, and the occupants have switched their identical salaryman-style business suits with identical ninja pajamas with real weapons. |
