Sonic Fights Robotnik
Music To Peanut Butter and Jam By
It is impossible to say when music began. Much like the early history of human civilization, the exact origins are lost to time, with only educated guesses to discern when the first person struck a stick against a rock, making a rudimentary beat. What is known is how important music has become in the millenia since. In a world separated by so much, where a thousand languages can cause the simplest misunderstanding, a combination of sounds can unite people across the oceans.
The idea of a song can be a powerful tool, even in a non-audio medium. SONIC FAN knew this well. In his first story, music was presented as an important part of the culture of Mobius. The music of Green Day rang out through both city and country. When Chis Petrucii sang the song of the Death Egg Battle, the heartfelt plucking of the guitar caused Bookshire to weep.
The soundtrack to the Sonic Fights Robotnik saga is as varied as the stories which use them. But one song above all else defines not just SONIC FAN, but Sonic the Hedgehog as a whole. “Walking Contradiction” encompasses the duality of Sonic, his world, and life itself. A philosophical topic that on its own could span a thousand words, but instead sits safely in two minutes and thirty one seconds.
