Wow.
That's all I can say. I am both stunned and amazed. And all of a sudden, I have no idea who's going to win this election.
I might as well start from the beginning. The candidates for Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President all went up and gave their speeches. There were many amusing moments (many coming from a certain Vice President candidate), and finally the Presidential nominee’s were called up. First Jack, then George (who "tripped"), and then me. Brandon Davis walked up and introduced me, and then I was on. I must admit that I was nervous. I must also admit that I wasn't sure how the speech would go. But I still went up, to applause. Of course, everyone else went up to applause as well, so it wasn't that big of a deal. And then I flew into it.
I thanked Brandon, I thanked Brian Cooley, and I thanked the audience for not sneaking away. I read the speech that you can find on this site, I moved around, I wasn't that shy. And they laughed. They were entertained. I was able to keep the attention of over three hundred Juniors, and that's a feat in itself. And they applauded.
The most startling thing? That people stood up and applauded. Yes, I got a standing ovation. Amazing, huh? I saw no one else stand up for anyone else's speech. Apparently, they enjoyed me. And I won some votes.
Of course, that doesn't mean I won. There is still some very high competition. And the results will not be revealed until tomorrow. We'll find out then.
But for now, I'm just glad that I performed as well as I did.
Oh yeah, happy birthday to my sister, Krystal. She's fifteen, if anyone cares.
Besides those that know her.
