Scarlet PI - The Novel Series

Fresh off of Lost Boy Found, David Gonterman already knew what novel he wanted to write next. It was an idea near and dear to his heart, one that he had been toying with for nearly a decade by that point. Having already tried his hand at telling the story twice in webcomic form, he knew he wanted to continue the story of Scarlet Foxfire, Private Investigator.

Instead of once again writing the origin, he wanted to jump right in, with Scarlet already being an officer in the Orange County Police Department. Mixing his original idea with furry and Disney culture, it made sense to drop the story in the Happiest Place On Earth, even if the main character was tasked with solving a homicide.

Murder in Main Street U.S.A. wasn’t at first meant to replace the comic strip, but after its release, plans for a third stab at the comic were replaced with another novel, retelling the origin of Scarlet and just why Jim Goodlow need to wear her in the first place.

At the time of this writing only three books starring Scarlet P.I. have been released. The fourth, Rabbit in the Den, has yet to see the light of day.

Scarlet PI Pilot Series

Murder in Main Street USA: The first full length Scarlet PI novel. Working for the Orange County Police Department’s Amusement Park Division, her usual rounds at Walt Disney World lead her into a horrific sight. A murdered cashier at the Main Street Bakery takes Scarlet deeper than she ever expected into the dark side of Disney.
