Chilian Character Design: Hunan GreatDreams Species: Chinese Dragon/Unicorn/Help me out here Occupation: Panda House Guardian and Hong Mao's pet. The dragon-slash-unicorn-slash-whatever-in-Buddah's-Name-that-critter's-supposed-to-be that was the object of desire in the first series and what Red was riding in the opening episode. He's bigger and a bit more traditional, but he'll get more exposure in the Hong Kong chapters. Chilian resides in Panda House as a sort of pet, frolicking around the gardens and brushing up to people to get scritched on the head. People say that Chilian gives the place good luck. Porkchop Character Design: Hunan GreatDreams Species: Pig Occupation: Officer in the Hong Kong Police Force He's here just for one purpose, and one purpose alone: Punching Bag. Whether it's from his boss, Tiger Jr., from Susan or Blue because of an unwanted advances, from Bumpy or Johny because he's being an ass, or by just anyone off the street for no reason at all. Might be personal preferences, but I wanted to see this guy buy it in the original series and buy it bad. Of course, being a lecherous, deceitful, corrupt cop who wishes he could be as cool as Chow Yun Fat doesn't help matters. No doubt he'll only keep this job until everybody stops considering abusing him fun anymore. Then he'll be voted off the island in ways Jeff Probst would appreciate. (Consider this a personal preference: I wanted to see this character eat it the moment I saw him in the very first episode.) Duke Character Design: Ivan Mayne Species: Human Occupation: Weapons Dealer This Husky-sled driving Anglophile wasn't the one who discovered the Ice Sword. That honor goes to an yet-unnamed working joe in one of the diamond mines in Yellowknife. Duke however saw the sword only as a relic to be sold to the highest bidder, and he planned to get it off the Joe's hands, for dirt cheep, if not by less ethical methods. The Hunter Character Design: Ivan Mayne Species: Human Occupation: Vampire Hunter When people saw an increase of Vampiric Activity in Austria, they turned to the nearest Vampire Hunter they could find. Unfortunately they had to chose someone who could be "Bat Guano Insane" even by the standards of anyone who thinks they're a vampire. We're talking someone who has the image as the next Van Helsing. And half of the time he's talking to someone he hears, that voice is coming from his own head. And the weirdest part is that he was originally a local pest exterminator. Has a van with a giant bug on the roof and everything. Fire Monkeys Character Design: Ivan Mayne Species: Primate These creatures that inhabit the alternate dimension that Isabel's parents are banished to. Totally lacking in civic virtue and graces, they look more like real monkeys than Jumpy in terms of proportions, with long arms and short legs. Low foreheads to denote none too high intelligence, blank, red half-moon eyes, as though they're perpetually mad at each other, which they are. Their fur should be really wild, grizzled and unkempt to denote their "fire" nature: they're good at manipulating fire, but little else. Speak in typical Monkey-squeals. And yes, they throw flaming poo. Amber Merichello Chara Design by: David Foxfire Species: Human Nationality: USA Occupation: Johnny Briz’s Agent. Her story takes place in a separate story: She’s a unrequited Disney Fan who wanted to work for the company as an Animator or Imagineer. She would have made excellent Mousketeer material. Unfortunately, she grew up in the Eisner era, where the corporation didn’t want anyone except lawyers or low-paying castmembers. That was until a just-escaping Johnny Briz, all two-foot-five of him, crashed into her arms while on a Metrolink train, much like how Walt Disney found Mickey Mouse. After finding out that he’s in perfect health in spite of his size, she got the idea of filming webizodes of him, showing him off as a “Living Cartoon Character.” Those videos went viral, making JB a second-tier alternative to the Disney-owned character. Those videos are also what drew Tubby to Johnny in the first place. The two were in contact with each other off-camera and they eventually meet to discuss a Johnny Briz/Hong Mao cobill for a movie. Amber’s story doesn’t impact ‘Red Cat International,’ nor does she get much exposure on the series. She’ll probably end up in the background, working on the upcoming ‘Brothers Cat and Mouse’ movie with Tubby behind the scenes. Mazekat Chara Design by: Drew Rhine Species: Rat Nationality: Unknown Occupation: Sigurd’s Right Hand Rodent Mazekat is an example of someone who’s under Sigurd’s power. Whatever Mazekat was has been forgotten thanks to Sigurd’s control over her, and she’s basically anything and everything he tells or does to her. To her, Sigurd is all that is right and good in her world, and she would not abide anything else. And unlike Susan Traveller, she doesn’t have any exterior influences, so there is practically nothing that will sway her out of Sigurd’s thrall. She might not be so under his power that she's little more than a puppet, but it's clear that Sigurd's pulling her strings. The reason for her loyalty to Mazekat would be obvious; she wants to be a sorceress herself, and has become Sigurd's apprentice. She has a deep-rooted need for her own power and magic, and she hopes she can learn everything she'll ever need from Sigurd, and will take in anything he's willing to teach her. Beta Chara Design by: Hunan GreatDreams Species: Wolf Nationality: [flag] China Occupation: Martial Arts Instructor Seven Knights Status: Liaison to the Seven Knights Council So named because he’s a rare second son of his family (His great-grandfather being a former Sword Knight), Beta is a master Martial Artist, and has become an instructor teaching several styles, including Tai Chi and what he calls “Swordsmanship for Dummies.” Both of which Johnny needed, hence he was tapped by his friend Jumpy to be Johnny’s trainer. But there was an additional reason. Beta is also Jade Tu’s eyes and ears about the Knight’s progress, what they’re strengths and weaknesses are, and relays messages between the shrine and Panda House. |
