General Parvo, Groomer, and all related characters are property of Warner Bros. (Specifically da man- Tom Ruegger). K.I.T.T. is property of Universal, though this incarnation was a created by Trey Tackett. Will is property of Will Hollinger -------------- Confused as to what's referred to in this? It's all explained in the Author's note at the end. -------------- Colley "Big Yiffy" Dogstar waited as the elevator slowly ascended up to the 3rd floor. He was in the Zoot home dimension, the first time he had ever been there actually. The firebombing scene played in his mind over and over. He cringed every time he thought about it. He had almost lost Scarlet. The doors opened and he stepped out of the elevator. He came face to face with Rik, a feline zoot. The two weren't really fond of each other. Back before Scarlet left for Earth, she and Rik had been somewhat of an Item. Rik wasn't to happy to discover that Colley had taken that spot...... "Hello.... Rik...." Colley said, sneering some. "Hello... Colley..." Rik replied. The two stood there staring at each other eye to eye for a few moments. They both then went separate ways. Rik went to the elevator. Colley walked down the hall and to the room were Scarlet Foxfire was. He knocked on the door, and then entered. He was distraught over what he saw. Scarlet was almost fully covered in bandages. Only her fingers, and head were visible, and even then Colley could tell how severe it was. By the looks of things, the vixen was asleep. He sat down quietly in a chair near the bed and remained there, watching her. "Come on, Scarlet," he said softly. "You have to pull through." he sighed, visibly upset. "I don't want to lose you... Not like I've lost everyone else." He put his hand on hers and squeezed gently. He looked up as another person entered the room. His face instantly became a mix of annoyance and anger. "Uh, hey Colley," Trey said as he closed the door behind him. "Alicia said you'd probably be here." "Yeah, so?" Colley said in an annoyed tone. " This whole thing hit you pretty hard. I just wanted to see if you were ok," Trey replied. "Why?" Colley asked, his voice showing signs of rising anger. "So you could pull another of your infamous twists on my life?" Colley got up and faced his creator. "You're not gonna make me lose her, not like you did everyone else," he growled. "Huh?" Trey asked. "What are you talking about?" Colley's brow furrowed. "Don't play dumb. You know damn good and well what I'm talking about. Anyone I've ever cared about, you've somehow made me lose." "Whoah, Colley. Chill, man," Trey said , trying to calm the canine down. "Chill?" Colley questioned. "Why should I chill? It's because of your idiotic nonsense that I lost Alley. Not once, but TWICE. And to who? MUZZLE of all people!" "Now wait a second, I..." Trey began. Colley interrupted. "Because of you and your constant changes, I don't know what my past is. What am I?! HUH?! Colleen's cousin, born in America? Or a clone of your's and Colleen's DNA fused together?" "I..." was all Trey could managed to say before Colley started again. "When you made me, you swore I wasn't gonna have energy blasts and or any type of power like that." Colley said as he stared into Trey's face. "But you couldn't handle it. Seeing everyone else doing whatever they wanted cause they had those types of powers. So what happens? I get kidnaped by Parvo and somehow develop saiyin-like powers while under his control. It ends up being more of an annoyance than a threat to everyone, and in the end you call Scrapper in to stop me. But no, it's still not done. Scrapper and I have to fight it out with each other." He growled and shoved Trey backwards. "HEY!" Trey shouted. "SHUT UP!" Colley yelled. "You have no idea what it was like having to do that to Scrapper.... That fight broke a vow I made to her long ago back at RRMC. I swore to her I'd never fight her.... and because of you that vow was broken." "Colley, I....." Trey was once more interrupted. "I SAID SHUT UP!" Colley yelled again. He slowly back Trey toward the wall as he talked. "But no, that's not the worst of it. You took away from me the only family I ever had. You took Dulcy from me...." He looked down at the floor, trying to hold his despair back. He then looked back at Trey. "You took my daughter." "Your ADOPTED daughter...." Trey tried to point out. "I DON'T CARE! She was the only family I ever had. Her parents were killed, Trey. She needed a family as much as I did. But no, you later decide that I shouldn't have a daughter. And what happens then? She's captured by Parvo, turned into a cano-mutant, and no one ever sees or hears from her again. But then you go and add insult to injury. You team me up with someone I don't even know, and YOU GIVE HER DULCY'S NAME!" He lifted Trey up by the shirt and got into his face once more. "So I don't care what you came here for, I want you to leave! NOW! I care to much for Scarlet for you to somehow screw things up and cause me to lose her as well." He swung the door open and shoved Trey out into the hall. "I hope you've enjoyed your fun....." Colley sneered. "If you weren't my creator I'd beat you within an inch of your life." Colley then slammed the door shut once more. Trey looked at the closed door. Colley's words going through his mind. He put his head in his hands and sighed. "God, I deserved that....." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Trey didn't say much after calling up one of the Sayian Balls," David told Roll Rabbit, referring to the spacecrafts he found and attached to the NiTRO to use as shuttles between the Space Blimp and the Earth below. "He didn't look at all like an happy camper." The Android nodded. "He seemed to be disappointed or something, but I couldn't tell. All I know is what I picked up from my stress analyzer program." "Hmmm," David thought. "Something's chewing him out, I wonder what..." David and Roll Rabbit walked into the room that passed as the NiTRO's library, and found Trey studying some books. "So, I take it you still haven't talked with Colley yet?" David asked Trey shook his head. "No. What's worse is that he was right. I am to blame." He sighed. "I wanted to be part of the 'in' crowd everywhere I went, back then...... If it meant changing Colley, I did it. But now I'm regretting it." David nodded as he realized what was going on. "I had my own problems fitting in. In fact when I was arriving into the Fandom of the Day, I wanted to take an active role in it, to provide something to contribute to the mentioned Experience. More often than not, it was disastrous and it promptly caused my eviction." He placed an hand on Trey's shoulder. "We all make mistakes, Trey. You should know that by now." "I have known that...." Trey slammed his head on the table. "I wish life had a rewind button......" "Well," Roll chimed in. "Nothing is set in stone, right?" Trey and David looked over at Roll curiously. Then, Trey's eyes widened as realized what the 'bot was trying to point out. "Hey, that's right! There might still be a chance!" David and Roll watched as Trey ran out of the room and toward the Saiyin Ball hanger. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Yes," Alicia started. "There is a way you could bring her back." She told Trey as he explained everything to her. "How?" Trey asked his friend and one of the AAA's Powers That Be. "Remember what I did when Dark Sonic came to the AAA, and I was afraid he'd do the same thing to it that he did to Dark Mobius?" Alicia asked. "Yeah," Trey replied. "You got killed." Alicia frowned slightly. "Um, before that." "Got caught off guard by Tuxedo Chris and changed into Lynxara?" Trey tried again. Alicia was all but growling at Trey then. "Before *that*... and darnit, if it wasn't for the Horde..." Trey thought for a few moments and shrugged. "I'm drawing a blank." Alicia sighed. "Okay, what did Jamie do waaaaay back when Pippkin got ahold of Samantha?" "Entered the story himself to try and save her?" Trey tried a third time. "Right. He joined in the story. And when I made my, admittedly ill-fated, attempt to keep Dark Sonic in line, I joined in the story, too," Alicia stated. "That's what you have to do." "How?" Trey asked. "You said no more Author participation." "She's from your storyverse," Alicia stated. "Not mine. So *you* have to go back and change it if it's going to be changed." Trey sighed. "Great, where's Doc Brown when ya need him?" Alicia continued. "Just remember, Direct Self-Insertion is a dangerous game. Sure, you could end up a Saiya-jin like Oscar, or a commando like Nav... or, you could end up a powerless wuss like me. There's no telling what could happen to you when you enter your own storyworld." Trey frowned. "Hoo boy... that ought to be.... interesting...... Me against a horde of cano-mutants and Parvo...." He looked at her. "Wanna measure me for my coffin first?" Alicia gave a very faint chuckle at his attempt at humor. "Well, it is dangerous. Nothing comes without a price, and putting yourself inside in a story is dangerous. The sorts of things that can happen to any character can happen to you." "Meaning I could be killed........" Trey said. "Oh well, we all gotta go at sometime.... It's cause of Colley that I'm the way I am today. I have to do this for him." Alicia smiled at Trey. "I understand. You send your characters through so much, and then you get tired of making them suffer... you want to them to be happy, no matter what. I've got quite a few more Avatars than Lynx-chan. I just don't bring them here... at least, not for now." Trey nodded. "Well, I guess I better get started... What do I do to start this quest thing?" Alicia shrugged. "You just... want to. And when you want to badly enough, you'll be there." Trey shook his head. "This place keeps getting odder by the moment...." He looked at Alicia and smiled. "Ok then, see ya on the flip-side, Alicia. Hopefully." He closed his eyes and began to focus his thoughts Alicia smiled faintly as Trey began fading out of her reality, and into his own storyworld. "Sure hope he comes back." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Two figures looked out over the area at the massive fortress. One was a male doberman cano-sapien in a purple button up shirt, white sleeveless under shirt, and a pair of blue jeans. His name was Will. He looked over at the other figure. a 6'2 human wearing what looked to be like what Raven would do if he woar Tuxedo Mask's outfit (and without the hat). "You sure this plan is fool proof, Trey?" Will asked. "Nope," Trey replied. Will grinned. "Alright, then let's do it to it!" He and Trey hit their fists ontop of each other and then began to sneak toward the base. General Parvo was resting peacefully in his command room when the alarms started blaring. He yelped in surprise and fell out of his chair. "GROOMER!" Groomer ran into the room. "Yes, General?" "What the blazes is going on here?!" Parvo demanded. "We're under attack, sir!" Groomer replied. "That doberman cano-sapien and some guy in a punked out tuxedo and leather jacket." "Of all the..... ELLIMINATE THEM!!!" Parvo demanded. "Aye, sir!" The scottish woman replied. "At once!" Trey ducked under the laser fire and around a corner. There were cano-mutants everywhere. "Will!" he shouted to his friend. The human turned cano-sapien continued firing off his pistols at the mutants as he ducked behind the corner as well. "Aw, hell yeah. This is the kind of action I've been waiting for," Will said as he loaded another clip of bullets into his gun. "We're gonna need to split up. I'll look for Dulcy, you try and hold these yuppies off, ok?" Trey asked. Will nodded. "Good luck, man." Will dived back out into the open and once more began firing, yelling alot of explicitives that need not be mentioned. Trey took off down the coorridor as fast as he could. Meanwhile, a pair of cano-mutants were trying to shove what looked to be a golden retriever cano-sapien, 12 years of age, and normal height for a child of that age, into the cano-mutator. Dulcy struggled but was losing the fight. "LET ME GO!!!!" she shouted. "Sorry, can't do that. Boss said to turn you into one of us," the first mutant replied. This frightened Dulcy and made her struggle even more. "Come on, you'll like being a cano-mutant alot more than you being like you are." *FWIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH!* The cano-mutant yellled in pain as something raked across his face. The three canines looked down to see a black rose embedded in the floor. "I think she prefers the way she is," Trey said as he looked down from atop the cano-mutator. "And frankly, she looks better than you two. Now unhand her." "The hell? Halloween come early this year?" the second mutant asked. "I say we waste this guy," the first said. The second mutant nodded and aimed it's laser rifle at Trey. Trey leaped over the beam and threw a barrage of black roses at the mutant. the roses embedded themselves into the mutant's arms and legs and he collapsed in pain, his gun sliding out of reach. The other mutant was shocked. Trey delived a fast kick to his chest and then tucked the mutant's head under his arm. "TUXEDO-FLOW!!!!!" he shouted and leaped high into the air. He spun diagonally in mid leap and then delivered what can only be a described as a avatar fueled Even Flow ddt to the mutant. Trey got back up and smiled. "This I could get used to." He looked over at Dulcy. "You ok, kiddo?" "Yeah! Who are you?" Dulcy asked. Trey chuckled. "I'll explain in due time, right now we gotta get the heck out of here." He picked up the retriever and ran for the exit. Will howled as he took down yet another cano-mutant. He saw Trey and Dulcy coming towards him. "TIME TO FADE HEROES!" Trey shouted. He looked down at Dulcy. "Always wanted to say that." Dulcy giggled and held on to Trey as Will joined up with them. "Now what?" Will asked as they dodged laser fire once more. "Now you get back to the RRMC, while Dulcy and I head back to my dimension." He ducked behind a small stone protrusion and closed his eyes. He began to focus his thoughts on returning home with Dulcy in tow, unaware of the cano-mutants aiming a powerful laser cannon at his "shield". The cannon fired. The laser shot through the stone protrusion and ripped through Trey's body. Dulcy screamed in horror, the laser barely missing her. "So.... this is what it feels like......" He went limp just as he and Dulcy faded out of the storyverse..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trey slowly opened his eyes. He found himself in a recovery bed. There was a large bandage across his chest, but other than that, he seemed to be perfectly fine. "What the heck?" He saw Alicia walk into the room and smiled. "Hey, you're still alive. Cool," She said. She pulled up a chair and sat down near the bed. "How ya feeling?" "Well....." Trey though for a moment. "Like I just got shot and lived...." He looked at her quizzically. "What happened?" "You and Dulcy fazed back into the reality. We got you into medical as soon as we saw what had happened," Alicia replied. "Luckily, nothing was damaged that couldn't be fixed." "And Dulcy?" Trey asked. "She's fine. Lynxara's watching her right now," Alicia answered. "Good," Trey stated. "Could you do something for me?" "What?" Alicia asked. "Take away my author power over Dulcy. I never want to risk Colley losing her again," Trey replied. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Mmm, that stuff's pretty good," Scarlet said as she munched on some of the Hospital's food. Colley chuckled as he fed her another spoonful. Scarlet was recovering well, but her hands were still to bandaged to use. Scarlet swallowed the food and licked her muzzle. She looked over at the nightstand and noticed that there was a black electronic watch on it, and it was blinking. "Hey, I think your watch is blinking," she said bluntly. "Huh?" Colley asked as he looked over at the watch. Sure enough, the face of the watch was flashing with an insignia resembling a knight chess piece. "So it is." He reached over and picked up the watch. He then pressed a side button, activating its radio. "This is Colley, go ahead." "Finally, I thought you'd never pick up," A familiar voice said over the watch's small speaker. "Kitt, what brings you here?" Colley asked. "And for that matter, HOW did you get here?" "Well," KITT started. "I was able to get here just like anyone else." There was a tone of sarcasm in the computer's voice modulator. "And what brings me here is something you'll have to come and see." "Right, I'll be down in a minute," Colley said. He set the watch back on the nightstand. "How are you working with the Knight 2000?" Scarlet asked, intrigued. Colley grinned. "Joint operation between F.L.A.G. and the Road Rovers." He kissed Scarlet. "I'll be right back." He then left the room and headed downstairs to the parking garage. He smiled at the sight of the familiar modified red Pontiac Banshee with the sliding light on the nose. "Hey, Kitt. S'up?" "I was asked to deliver a message to you," KITT replied. "Oh?" Colley asked. "From who?" "Your creator, Trey," KITT responded. Colley groaned. "Now what? Ok, what is it?" "He said to tell you he's sorry for any pain he has caused you, and he hopes you can forgive him," KITT said. "Figures" Colley muttered. "He doesn't have enough guts to say it to my face." "Actually, he felt he'd been in the way," KITT stated. "In the way of what?" Colley asked. "A reunion," was the talking car's response. Colley opened the driver side door, revealing a passenger. He stared at the passenger, stunned. "Dulcy?" Colley finally managed to ask. Still shocked by what he was seeing. "Is that you?" The retriever nodded. "Yeah, daddy, it's me." Colley let out a shout of joy and snatched her up into a hug. Dulcy giggled and returned it. "I missed you too, daddy," she said. Colley was crying in happiness. He kissed her on the cheek and continued to hug her close. THE END ---------------------------------- AUTHOR'S NOTES: Ok, a few things. The situation with Alley, Scrapper, and Dulcy all took place back on DALnet in the IRC channel #road_rovers. I was stupid then, and wanted to be like everyone else. (This was pre-Hakuna Matata days) Dulcy (Dulcia) Jax and Colley were teamed up together with KITT in the "KNIGHT ROVER" series I did. (members.tripod.com/~scrappydappydoo/krover.htm ) What the hell was I doing with Tuxedo Kamen like powers? Heh, I took them from a semi-avatar I have in #C-Ko's "TuxedoRaven" ^_^ "I" got trapped up on the USS NiTRO during the 3rd-4th episode. Part of a scheme by a certain white lab mouse bent on world domination. The thing with Colley being turned evil happened recently in #C-Ko's, and was ended that weekend. He's back to normal.. for him anyways. Why'd I write this? It was one of those spur of the moment things, and after all the crap I put Colley through since his creation, I somehow felt that I owed him. I mean seriously, if I hadn't ever created Colley, I wouldn't be where I am today. Because of me creating him, I started drawing more, and writing. Here's to ya Dogstar, thanks for everything. Please send all comment to my e-mail address nightws@apex.net I take all C&C no matter what it is. Thank you for reading, God bless.
