FOX AND THE WOLF

(Neo-Tokyo Arena. On Monday Night Brawl.)

JR:Up next, it's one AAA fans have waited for a long time to see!
It's Brisby vs. Wolf!!

Shawn Michaels' "SEXY BOY" cues up. Jonathin Brisby walks out to a
mixture of cheers and boos. He strikes a HBK pose as fireworks go
off behind him.

MIKE: Making his way to the ring is the manager of Team Foxfire.
Jonathan Brisby.

HHH: He's about to go one on one with the maniac Wolf!

Brisby gets into the ring. "Unforgiven 2" by Metallica cues up and
the crowd erupts. A chant of "WOLF-A-RINE! WOLF-A-RINE!" begins.
Wolf walks out, looking very pissed off. He charges for the ring.

*DING DING*

MIKE:And Wolf on the attack! He's unleashing a barrage of viscious
chops right into Brisby! He's got him in the corner. KICK TO THE
CHEST!

HHH: Brisby's staggering. WOLF WITH A STINGER SPLASH! AND ANOTHER
ONE!

JR: Brisby just collasped to the floor! There's a cover, TWO COUNT!
Wolf with a elbow drop, BUT BRISBY ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! Brisby has
got control  now! 

MIKE:Brisby's got Wolf up on his feet. WHOAH! WHAT A SPIN KICK!
Wolf's reelin' from that one! Brisby off the ropes, SPEAR! HE
SPEARED WOLF!

HHH:Brisby's up on the top rope, FLYING ELBOW DROP! Cover! 1, 2,
KICK OUT! WOLF'S STILL IN THIS!

JR:Both men back up to their feet. Brisby sends Wolf into the
ropes, Leap frogs over him, Wolf off the other ropes, HE NAILS
BRISBY WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Brisby's back up. Wolf with an Irish
whip into the corner! BRISBY SLAMS INTO THE ROBOREF! BOTH HE AND
BRISBY ARE DOWN! 

HHH:THE HELL?! THERE'S DARK SONIC!!

Dark Sonic runs out from the crowd. He hops into the ring. Wolf
turns and sees him. 

JR:DARK SONIC NAILS WOLF WITH A X-FACTOR!!!!

Dark Sonic does the damage and runs off. Brisby has seen this. He
walks over to Wolf and checks on him. He then walks over to the
Roboref. He tells the Ref what happens. The roboref nods and
signals for the match to be thrown out. Brisby walks over to Wolf,
who is starting to regain his composure. Brisby extends his hand to
the Rodent and helps him up. Wolf asks him why, and Brisby just
shrugs. He then leaves the ring. Wolf watches as Brisby heads
backstage. He smiles and then leaves the ring himself.

The next night was a busy one for Club Anipike. Avatars from all
over where in attendance. Wolf sat at the bar, ordering up his 2nd
bottle of beer. A lot of things were running through the rodent's
mind at the moment,  and he needed time to sort it all out.

"Is this seat taken?"

Wolf turned his head to see who was talking. It was Jonathan Brisby
of Team Foxfire. He had a drink in his hand and was sitting down on
the bar stool next to Wolf.

"No," Wolf replied.

"Good," Brisby stated. The two sat there for a few moments, neither
saying a word to the other. Finally, JB broke the silence.

"I heard about what happened, Wolf. I'm sorry," JB said.

Wolf took a sip of his drink. "Yeah, but hey, nothing lasts
forever." The rodent was obviously upset but didn't want to show it
in front of his long time rival. "I just hope that wherever he is,
he's having fun."

Brisby nodded and took a sip of his drink. Wolf looked over at him. 

"Thank you, by the way," he said.

"For what?" Brisby replied.

"For bringing Alicia back," Wolf stated.

JB smiled. "Hey, a friend was in need. I did what I knew had to be
done. She's important to all of us."

Wolf swirled his drink in it's bottle a few times. 

"I see another friend in need at the moment too," Jonanthan
continued.

"Huh?" Wolf asked, obviously confused.

JB sighed. "Wolf, I think we got off to a bad start. What's say we
put the past behind us, and start anew?"

Wolf glanced at him. "That why you told the roboref to throw out
the match?"

JB nodded. "Yeah. I relized this whole thing between you and me was
as petty as kids fighting over a toy." He offered his hand as a
gesture. "Truce?"

Wolf smiled and shook Jonathan's hand. "Truce."

Brisby smiled. "And if you need anyone for that War Game match with
Dark Sonic, I'm in your corner."

Worf smiled and nodded. "I'll keep that in mind."

Brisby got up and motioned for Wolf to follow him. "Come on, no
point in staying up here by yourself."

Wolf got up and followed Brisby. JB lead him over to the last place
he'd have suspected: Team Foxfire's table. Star Mech and the others
looked up at the mice.

"You all know Wolf," Jonathan started. "I thought it'd be okay for
him to join us tonight." JB stated as he sat down. Colley pulled up
a chair for Wolf as the others made room for it. Wolf glanced
around at the group, smiled, and sat down.

Alicia smiled as she watched the scene from afar. Once the two mice
were the worst of rivals, but now a friendship has spawned from
that same rivalry. She glanced at her watch. She had to go meet Tim
soon. She took one last look at the group and vanished in a flash
of light.

Wolf and and the others listened as Colley continued his story.

"So then the cano-mutant says to me, 'I'm gonna crack your head
open!'. To which I reply, 'OH GOODIE! WE CAN SEE IF THERE'S A NUT
INSIDE!'," Colley finished. Wolf and Team Foxfire burst out
laughing.

The universe was at peace for the moment, and that's the way it
would remain for the rest of the evening.....
