Ominous drums rolled as slow-motion footage of a fog-filled archway began the opening sequence, the outlined forms of Kefkain and the now- universally despised Dark Sonic apparent. "Like a hurricane, Dark Sonic and Kefkain have raged through the AAA on a path of destruction..." Michael Cole began. Images of Dark Sonic assaulting Vision, Soulstone, and the even mighty Goku interchanged with footage of Kefkain's attacks on Wolf, Lord Thinker, and Nav. "His arrival has been a trigger of chaos within the last weeks. The once powerful Team Foxfire has crumbled, thanks to the words and actions of the demented David Kintobor..." Footage of the quarrels between Star Mech and Kintobor rolled. Cut to Kintobor's one-man rampage against his former team, as the two rivals were overheard... "I wasn't scheduled to wrestle at King of the Net, but I've changed my mind," Kintobor's voice sneered, over footage of his attack on Team Foxfire. "I want a match, Kronos, a match against *you*. But not just any match... there's a special stipulation. The winner will declared one true Avatar of David Gonterman. And the loser... well, I'm sure the loser can have a nice, long talk with Pat Lee about the joys of nonexistence." "One condition:" Star Mech's voice responds. "Make it a title match. Put the belt on the line, and I'll do it." A gasp went up from the crowd. We can hear JR shout, "Is Star Mech NUTS?!" "As Brisby's league collapsed around him, Dark Sonic's Horde grew by leaps and bounds..." Cut to scenes of Tuxedo Chris joining Dark Sonic's cause... "Quite simply, Caldwell, your reality-manipulating powers can do things that not even my blackest magics can. I only want your assistance with a certain *project* of mine... a very simple price to pay to claim that which you desire most, don't you think?" "That's hideous... absolutely hideous..." Tenay breathed in horror. Then, cut to scenes of Oscar assaulting Nav and Bane with Kefkain's assistance. "A Saiyan... the Horde's got a freaking Saiya-jin now..." Flair's voice trails off in horror. "This reign of horror cumulated in one final, diabolical act..." Three times, we see Sonic's foul spell, the Endless Night, rip into Lynxara, and her final collapse to the ground, lifeless. The flashback ends with Timothy and Wolf, overwhelmed and on their knees, next to her body. "This event is the Author Avatar Association's last stand. It'll be the final act of retribution against Dark Sonic's legions, or the final stage of Sonic's conquest..." ******************************************************************* The Author Avatar Association in association with Club Anipike presents... KING OF THE NET!!! Knothole Arena, The Floating Island Planet Mobius The camera did the obligatory pan, displaying a glorious domed arena, filled to capacity with a mostly Mobian, furry audience. "You're looking at the sold-out Knothole Arena, located on the amazing Floating Island of Mobius! Good evening, and welcome to the second-ever Author Avatar Association Pay-Per-View event... King of the Net!"a tuxedo-clad Jim Ross introduced. "Tonight's event is crucial on so many levels!" Tenay, also dressed for the occasion, enthused. "Kintobor and Star Mech Kronos will fight for the Virtual Net title and their very existences. And we can only shudder as we contemplate what Dark Sonic must have in store now that he's arrived on the real Mobius." "It's rather ironic that this epic showdown takes place here," JR added, as we cut to one of the VIP skybooths. "Up in that luxury booth, some of Mobius finest are discussing this pivotal event," Tenay commented. Amongst the guests were Bunny, Antoine, Knuckles Echidna, Miles "Tails" Prowler, Princess Sally Acorn, and even the one, the only (and *real*) Sonic the Hedgehog! "I can't fathom what they'll do when Dark Sonic shows up..." JR wondered, just as shattering glass is heard. The crowd was alive with electricity as "Hell Frozen Over" blared over the PA, and the WWF champion, the infamous Stone Cold Steve Austin, tromped to the ring. Austin was as formal as he ever gets: black denim jeans, a jet black T-shirt, and the world heavyweight belt draped over his shoulder. "But I *definitely* know what our guest commentator tonight thinks of AAA's *new* co-chairman!" Tenay enthused, as Austin made his way to their booth. Austin took the time to get up on a chair, Steveweiser in hand, and took a swig to play for the crowd. He then sat back down and took a headsets. "Damn," Austin noted with a smirk, looking around the furry audience. "So many furballs, an' me without a bow..." "Now Steve..." JR warned. "Look, I've got th' right to be paranoid around these critters! It was Pippkin last time, and that Sonic bastard... Hell, I don't even know what to say about that bastard." "And what of your boss's recent 'alliance' with Tim, our remaining Power?" "Ya know, he screws around enough in the WWF... I guess he got bored and decided to come here! I've seen him do some cheap-ass things, but this?" Austin paused to recollect himself. "But, hell, McLees has got to be familiar with Vince's crap by now... he just needs to make sure he watches his ass." "Well gang," JR interrupted, "It sounds like Team Foxfire has just arrived in the parking lot in the back. Let's get some words from Michael Cole..." Cut to the lot, behind Knothole Arena. A hovercar is just landing behind Cole, and dust and papers whirl about the scene. "Thanks JR," an anxious Cole replied. "Team Foxfire has just arrived! Brisby, any thoughts about tonight's match? I've noticed that your spiritual advisor, Coyote, has been absent for quite a while." An normally silent Edward took the mic, "Grandpa Coyote's been laid up in the hospital back in St Louis. Busted ribs, a lung... all because of *YOUR EGO*, KINTOBOR!" Frustrated and at a loss of words, Edward stepped back, letting Scarlet take his spot. Colley towered behind her, looking intently, while the young Mechtail bobbed about the scene, enthusiastically doing the "Foxfire 4 Life" hand jive. Occasionally, Colley had to shove the giddy fox out of the camera's view. "Ya know, Kinty," the vixen sneered, "I'm actually going to miss you after Star Mech here kicks you flailing and screaming out of the multiverse. Why? 'Cause I just wanted one last dance with you, just to make you squeal to the 10-47!" "KINTOBOR!" Star Mech Kronos raved, "I've been training and focusing on you for the past month, just itching for this moment, so I can kick your ass tonight! I've got a whole new can of whoop-ass to unleash on ya tonight, and tonight only, because where I'm sending ya..." A determined grin spread across Kronos' face. "Well...give my regards to Pat when ya get there, 'kay?" "We've been waiting for this for a long time, Kinty-kins. It just sucks to be you right now, ne?" Brisby sneered. Then he and his crew proceeded into the arena. "Sounds like Kronos and Team Foxfire are ready for King of the Net! I'll keep you posted on new arrivals. Back to you, Jim!" Cole returned. The bell rang, and the blaring guitars of Marilyn Manson's "The Beautiful People" rang out into the audience, introducing Johnny Hellfire, Oni's human form, to Knothole Arena. "Listen to this crowd!" JR exclaimed, barley audible over the crowd's storm of boos. "Considering the place, it's no small wonder a Horde member is getting a reaction like this!" Tenay added. "Hold on, that black porcupine was supposed to cover his ass, wasn't he?" Austin asked. "Where the hell's Bizarro Sonic and his goons?" "Count your blessings," JR replied coldly, as Offspring's "Mota" began to a thunderous ovation. A focused, glaring Samantha Jones approached the ring. She is garbed in her traditional 'Silhouette' body suit and katana. "Oni's fictional origin was in a story called 'The Death of Samantha Jones... he *doesn't* need help." Samantha and Hellfire exchanged glares from across the ring, while Goku and the robo-ref entered the ring. While the automated official shackled and connected the two warriors' arms with a length of adamantium chain, Son Goku explained the rules for this no-DQ, falls count anywhere battle. Goku exited, and then match began... ADAMANTIUM CHAIN GRUDGE MATCH: Oni vs. Samantha 'Silhouette' Jones "Well, I haven't seen too much of Oni's human side in the tapes from the past few weeks, but Johnny Hellfire is lookin' pretty damn impressive," Austin opened as Johnny began the match by pulling Samantha in and delivering a surprise hard knee to her gut. "But Samantha's showing off the combat skills she's renowned for as well!" Tenay countered. Samantha quickly struck back with a shin kick to his temple, followed by another kick. However, Hellfire ducked a third, while grabbing a handful of excess chain. JR had to wince as he called, "Samantha's attempting to recover, and... Good *God*, Hellfire just *belted* her across the face with the chain!" Johnny then planted a foot into the back of the face- down Silhouette, and began viciously yanking her arm back with the chain. "Now I remember why I always hated these kinds of matches..." Austin muttered sympathetically. Samantha snarled in pain, bleeding from a gash along her temple, and rocked from side to side, finally gaining enough momentum to struggle out from under Hellfire's foot. "Samantha's just floored Hellfire with a leg sweep, and the chain comes into play again!" Tenay said. Samantha quickly wrapped the excess chain around Hellfire's left leg and, with a surge of her warrior-soul strength, hurled him over the ropes with a slingshot maneuver. "Only this time, it's Hellfire that's on the receiving end," JR continued as Johnny struggled this time, his arm extended painfully as he dangled over the ropes. "Silhouette's headin' up top... and up to the top rope for a springboard wheel kick! I don't care how deep in hell that guy's hometown is, he *had* to feel that!" Austin said. "Now the fight is out on the floor... Samantha tries to Irish whip Hellfire into the steel steps, but a reversal by Johnny! Hellfire's going for the attack..." Tenay trailed off tensely. "And he goes face first into the steps after a good solid trip," Austin smirked. Samantha took advantage of Hellfire's momentary pain, and quickly darted into the ring and out again, wrapping Hellfire's arm painfully around the corner post. "Once again, that deadly chain being used a weapon," JR began. "Samantha's bent Hellfire's arm around the post, and has begun working on him with a vicious series of kicks! I...there's so many ways that could injure him..." Johnny managed enough power to brace himself against the ring apron and planted both feet into Silhouette's jaw, stopping her attack and sending her reeling back wards into the safety rail. Johnny rolled back into the ring to unwind the chain, and then climbed to the top turnbuckle to the top. "Hellfire with an *aerial bulldog*... ONTO THE *CONCRETE*!!" Tenay shrieked as Hellfire pounded Samantha's forehead into the floor and went for a pin. "And that's only a two count... *barely* a two count!" Samantha leapt back to her feet and drew her blade, swinging a deep slash into Hellfire. "Aw hell... that was a bad move, a damn bad move," Austin commented with a shake of his head. Johnny staggered back, glanced down at the wound, and then grinned bestially as he hulked out into full Oni form. He summoned his blackened ax and began slashing with it in wide arcs. "The Rattlesnake's right... Samantha's barely dodging this monster's onslaught!" JR shouted as Oni backed her to the rampway, drawing closer and closer until he finally managed to catch her in the collarbone with a crashing back-swing, sending her to her knees. Seeing his chance, Oni raised his ax with both hands, and swung down violently. "Samantha *dodges!" Tenay yelled happily as Samantha abruptly ro1led to one side. Then, a burst of speed driven by her warrior soul, she wrapped the chain around both of his massive wrists, and dove beneath his legs. She stood up behind the hunched over Oni... and lifted up. Hard. Even Austin winced as he saw that. "Damn, even demons gotta have their limits..." Samantha then gripped around Oni's neck, her eyes shimmering white with power. "Silhouette with a *big* pump-handle slam... and a cover! Two count!" JR called. And that's when things got ugly. Oni arose and bellowed in rage, then extended his wings. "What is he... oh, no, no, NO!" Tenay yelled. JR's voice was just as horrified. "Oh mah God... Oni's going AIRBORNE!!" Samantha could only shriek as she was dragged upward behind the demon. He grabbed the chain and, with a mighty throw, launched her over an exposed rafter. "I know that girl can't fly... she's completely defenseless up there! This isn't gonna be a fight, it'll be a slaughter!" Austin fumed as he watched Samantha dangling (no doubt painfully) in the air, utterly at Oni's disposal. With violent swings, Oni repeatedly crashed the flat of his ax into Samantha's exposed body and head. Even with a swollen eye and gashes in her side and shoulder, Samantha feebly tried to kick him away, but to no avail. With a gleeful smile, Oni gently placed his axe against the side of the snarling vigilante's neck and wound back for the final swing... The announcers were following the action with the help of the monitors and hover-cams, at the moment too absorbed in the battle to say much of anything. But that's when Tenay broke the silence, as he squinted at the screen. "Guys... in the background... is that something *moving*?" It was. The movement in the darkness turned out to be the form of youthful looking teenager, his body glowing with a power aura that looking very similar to Samantha's. He flew at high speed toward the winged fiend in a fluid, almost invisible motion. "Who the..." Austin began to ask. "LIGHTNING FIST STRIKE!!" The boy's battle cry rang throughout the arena as he battered Oni with the super-fast punch combination. "Yes! It's Samantha's brother! It's Alexander Misamoto!" JR cheered shamelessly. "ALEX!" Samantha shrieked desperately. "Don't! Get away!" Alex wasn't listening. Instead he landed on a rafter and said, "How much of a coward are you, Oni? Are you willing to fight against someone who can fight back?" "If you wish..." Oni grinned in reply. Oni fluttered up to the rafter to engage the young fighter, much to Samantha's horror. "I... Oni's actually going to fight both of them?" Tenay marveled. Alex quickly unloaded a trio of spinning kicks into his adversary, backing Oni up. Alex lunged forward for a palm strike... but Oni instead easily dodged and grabbed the back of Alex's head. Oni then forcefully rammed the young man's head into a section of exposed metal railing, the clang ringing throughout the arena. Alex staggered off the railing, his sputtering power aura barely allowing him to keep himself airborne. Oni sailed out into flight himself, dragging a horrified Samantha beneath. The demon slammed into Alex's back with a monstrous double-ax handle... and the boy plummeted to the ground. The announcing team literally leapt out of their seats in shock as Alex's body crashed into the ring. "Jesus H. Christ!!" Austin swore. "Oh my God..." Tenay wailed. "A fall like *that*... JR, how high is the Knothole Dome's ceiling?" "NOT HIGH ENOUGH!" JR shouted triumphantly. "This is incredible... Alexander's still alive! He's moving!" Alex was attempting to crawl out of the ring as Oni landed behind him, Samantha crunching into a heap at his feet. She feebly pulled herself to her knees with the adamantium chain, terrified as Oni closed in on the obviously very injured Alex. The camera briefly cut to the aisleway, where a *very* torn Son Goku was confronting Jamie 'Jolt' Jeans, Ryoko, and Piccolo. Armored guards were barring the trio's path to the ring, while Goku urged them to remain in their seats, trying to explain that he couldn't help until they calmed down. Goku's glance exchanged in frustration from Samantha's desperate friends to the carnage in the ring... Oni was still steadily striding toward the fallen Alex, clearly enjoying himself. The bloodied Samantha struggles to stand up only to fall back down to one knee. He glared keenly at the boy, while swirls of black flame flowed around his hands. Oni glanced one last time at the drained, beaten Samantha as he completed his preparations for his ultimate attack... But it was two other voices that rang out instead. "DEATH THUNDER!!" "SHARP SHOT!!" A volley of black lightning and neon pink energy orbs collided into demon, knocking him back a few feet and momentarily breaking his concentration. The dust began to clear and... "Thank Gawd!" JR exulted. "It's... uhm..." "Bret Hart and the Undertaker?!" Tenay asked in confusion. "I guess they slipped in while Goku was dealing with the others... but *why*?" Austin promptly yelled over at his co-worker. "MARK! Where the hell have *you* been lately?! And when did you learn to do *that!?!*" "It's the damndest thing, Steve! Vince had us up in this old satellite reading bad stories, and then we found this large crate marked 'hamdingers'..." "We'll explain later! We've got to get the kid out of here so Samantha can fight!" Bret bellowed. Mark effortlessly pulled the now- unconscious Alex from the ring, and he and Bret were about to make their escape... when a wall of black flame erupted in front of them on the rampway. The three turned uneasily back to the ring, where Oni stood. His unholy smile indicated just how much he was going to enjoy unleashing the large sphere of flame that hovered ominously above him: The Thousand Hells Fury. So focused was Oni on destroying her allies that he never noticed Samantha slowly standing up behind him, her soul aura flaring in a bright crimson. She brought her hands together and charged the demon from behind. "BIG... ASS... BLAST!!" The Big Ass Blast detonated from point-blank range, flooring Oni and sending his blast shooting wildly toward the rafters. The protective force wall that surrounded the ring barely withstood it. Samantha scrambled over to the dazed Oni and covered him. "There it is! The three-count!" JR exulted. "Samantha Jones has won!" "Hell, Oni lost that one for himself," Austin commented with a smirk. Mark then scrambled backstage with Alex while Bret went in to aid Samantha. Samantha stood up weakly and smiled at her love. However, the reunion was cut short as Oni lunged upward and grabbed Bret by the throat. He hurled the wrestler for distance out of the ring (and into a pile of A/V equipment), Oni then spun, grabbed Samantha and crushed her into the corner! He began beating the already drained Samantha with malicious, massive punches. "The *carnage*... it's hideous, absolutely hideous!" JR spat as he watched the beating. "She should've gotten outta the ring... you just don't expect a guy from Hell to be a good loser," Austin said sagely. Fortuantely, a blur of motion appeared next to Oni... and soon Goku was standing directly between the two. He threw one haymaker into Oni's jaw, not only sending him to the opposite corner, but *shattering* the adamantium chain as well! A swarm of well armored guards intervened, and Goku confronted Oni. Fortunately, for Oni's sake, Goku's temper was *very* controlled. "I've already lost one person to your legions," Goku began, his ki aura increasing in intensity. "I will *not* lose another. You will be shackled by these guards and escorted *immediately* from the premises. Then you will be suspended and held in detention in the Dimensional Prison in Sigma Z until further notice. Do I make myself clear?" The demon glared at the legendary Saiyan warrior in first contempt, then disgust, and finally, defeat. "Crystal," Oni uttered. "Good." The guards bound Oni's arms and wings behind him in adamantium shackles. His entourage exited just as Dr Tofu and his paramedic staff entered to recover Samantha and Bret. "About damn time somebody controlled that purple-skinned freak!" Austin growled. "That was, quite literally, a hell of a match," JR sighed. "But the sad thing is, I'm not really surprised to see antics like that from the Horde anymore." "A very hard-earned win for Miss Samantha Jones," Tenay enthused. "This whole ordeal is puzzling, though." "What do you mean?" JR wondered. "I think Mikey's referring to that kid and damn near everyone Samantha knows all storming in here..." Austin intervened. "...While Dark Sonic and company never showed up once. I have to wonder what's going on." Tenay finished. "Yet *another* question to be answered tonight. Stay with us!" JR said as the cameras cut to... --------------------------------------------------------------------- (Scene: On a city street, a frustrated young woman is beside an overheated car) Woman: Oh no! I'm having car problems and the shop's all the way across town! What can I do? {Suddenly a tow truck with AAA on the side rolls up} Woman: Thank heavens! AAA! {Tuxedo Chris, Oscar, and Nav step out of the truck} Oscar: So, what seems to the trouble, ma'am... say, you wouldn't happen to own any fine felines, would you? Nav (aghast):Wait a sec! That's a Sailor Moon bumper sticker {chucks a grenade through an open car window!} {BOOM! The car erupts in flames!} Woman: EEK!!! My car!!! Tuxedo Chris: You must forgive my associates, my dear. You know, you would look lovely in a fuku... Woman (looks at the trio, and her eyes widen in fear) AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! {She flees in terror!} Announcer: AAA: Good fighters, Really *BAD* road service. -------------------------------------------------------------- The camera returned to King of the Net, where Michael Cole was once again waiting backstage. "Welcome back, everyone," Cole greeted. "We're still awaiting the arrival of Kintobor, to get some words from him about tonight's title defense and..." He then glanced nervously off screen, and for good reason: Dark Sonic has arrived, as well as his associates Kefkain, Tuxedo Chris, and the Great Red Serpent. Oscar is also there, now wearing a black and gold variant of Vegeta's battle gear. Sonic imperiously extended a hand toward Cole, who nervously handed the mic over. Sonic nodded with the *utmost appreciation* and began... "I must admit that I was amazed at the number people that were upset by the death of that bi... *brat*, Lynxara. But remember, I warned all of you that this was going to happen. And everyone knows that I'm quite rough with my toys. As for you, Wolf..." Sonic sighed blissfully, while Kefkain sneered. "As I expected, you couldn't stop me. Too much of a coward, too naive! Just as you'll be powerless to stop my undead menace: Kefkain." The white wolf reached for the mic methodically and emitted a deep growl as he spoke. "You are beginning to annoy me, Wolf. You've attacked me once too often, and I will repay you ten-fold tonight," Kefkain remarked coldly. "SONIC!!!" A bellowing voice suddenly roared. Other shouting was heard off screen, and Cole quickly scampered away from the Horde. The shackled Oni charged in, barely held back by five large armored guards. The rest of the Horde readied themselves for battle while Kefkain and Dark Sonic remained casual. "Where the $#@*& were you?! You said you had my back! You said you'd watch... GRRAAAHHH!!!" Oni struggled violently as he was pulled away. "I had to... rearrange my priorities. I've received word that the Grey Fox has arrived..." Dark Sonic uttered with a mildly concerned look, as the camera cut back to the arena. "Looks like things are not well within Sonic's Horde," Tenay noticed. "It's real simple, Mike," Austin said. "Get that much evil and ego in one place, and bad stuff will happen." "Whatever the case, Kefkain is definitely prepared for tonight's event... I just have to wonder if his opponent is. No one's seen Wolf since..." JR paused, as "Unforgiven II" began to play. The crowd erupted into a standing ovation as the first of the two combatants for the next match entered. Accompanied by his friend, Agent Q, Wolf stepped out of the entrance, greeted by a massive "Wolf-a-rine" chant. "Well, Wolf's obviously gotten over Foxfire," Austin smirked. "And... Sweet Jesus! He's armed to the *teeth*!" JR breathed. Wolf carried an assault rifle to the ring, and a lengthy machete in his belt. Agent Q was also ready for war, decked out in vampire hunting gear and clearly ready to assist him. Wolf entered the ring and downed a final Wolfweiser, crushing the can in one hand before he threw it aside. Then he leaned back in the corner, waiting for Kefkain. "Guys," Tenay began uneasily, "I've been watching Wolf since the AAA began... I've never seen him like this. I don't think I've seen anyone look this violent in my entire *life*!" "Well, when you consider how *personal* this particular title match is going to be..." JR said with a shrug. "Personal?!" Austin raved, "These bastards *killed* his manager! Hell, listin' the people they've demolished would take all day! *Everyone* hates Bizarro Sonic, and Wolf *knows* what it would mean if he could put that freak's right-hand-furball down!" The beginning strums of "The Perfect Drug" finally played, and a wave of unearthly silence spread over the previously vibrant crowd. The violet lightshow and mist signaled The Horde's arrival. Kefkain and Dark Sonic strode slowly to the ring. Sonic glared across the speechless audience, clearly offended by the Mobius that was not his own. No one in the stands dared utter a noise, not wanting to risk Dark Sonic's wrath... The VIP skybox, however, was anything but quiet! The sound of chairs hitting the glass was clearly audible... the real Sonic had gone practically berserk from the mere sight of his evil doppleganger! In fact, Knuckles was the only thing keeping him from charging out of the booth to confront the Dark One at that very moment. The rest of the Mobian Freedom Fighters were only slightly less irate... except for the Princess Sally. She just peered intently down toward the ring, with an unusually calm, icy demeanor. MOBIAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Wolf (w/ Agent Q) vs. Kefkain (w/ Dark Sonic) Just as Kefkain passed through the ropes, Wolf charged in to begin furiously pounding on the vampiric wolf! JR reacted as quickly as he could. "Wolf's already on the attack... he Irish whips Kefkain, and follows a *solid* clothesline." "Kefkain's staggering... and Wolf seems to be making some sort of signal to Agent Q," Tenay continued. Q quickly chucked a stoppered glass bottle to him. Wolf pulled out the cork and, with a precise toss, hurled the contents toward the white wolf. "Did Wolf just throw a damn glass of water at him?" Austin asked. "Actually, I think that was holy water... and it seems to be less than completely effective..." Tenay nervously corrected. Mike was no doubt correct...Wolf and Agent Q looked very concerned. Kefkain noticed his drenched fur, and simply smirked back at them with a "What the hell was *that* supposed to be?" look on his face. Dark Sonic stifled a chuckle as well. With a burst of unearthly speed, Kefkain abruptly dove in with a lariat clothesline, flooring the still-stunned commando rodent. "Now Kefkain's got those big meathooks of his wrapped around Wolf's neck... damn, he's throwin' Wolf around like a rag doll!" Austin marveled as Kefkain went Wolf sailing into a corner turnbuckle with a casual toss. "That monster Kefkain's closing in... and Wolf's rummaging through his pockets?" JR asked in confusion. "If Wolf throws a light bulb at him, I'm leaving," Tenay declared flatly. Instead Wolf pulled out a wooden cross, and bravely thrust it in Kefkain's face. The white wolf actually stopped and narrowed his dead eyes. Then the cross burst into flame. Austin swore in confusion. "What th' hell?! C'mon, something's gotta work on Kefkain's dead ass..." "Actually, a Christian holy symbol would only work against a Christian vampire..." Tenay began to lecture. "Shut up, Tenay," his colleagues said in unison. Wolf reflexively dropped the burning object, and Kefkain once again took advantage of his opponent's momentary confusion. The white-furred monster choked Wolf with his massive foot, and then launched the commando rodent violently into the opposite corner. "Kefkain's charging, and... MAH GOD! Wolf's got his machete out!" JR called tensely. He connected with a solid slash that staggered Kefkain, steam rising from the wound. "Whatever that was, it finally worked... Kefkain's actually stayin' hurt!" Austin observed with satisfaction in his voice. "I think I know why..." Tenay began as the camera got a close-up shot of the machete, with an unnaturally bright blade. "It's a silver weapon!" "Don't you use that against werewolves?" JR asked. Austin dismissed that argument with a wave of his hand. "Werewolves! Vampire wolves! What th' hell ever!" Wolf pressed his advantage, dropping the dazed vampire with a double leg take down, and proceeding to rip mercilessly into him with his blade. In desperation, the bloodied Kefkain reached up and sank one of his huge claws into Wolf's chest. The vampire worked his way back up, ripping into the commando rodent as he did so. "Kefkain's back on his feet!" Tenay called. "He goes for a front kick... but Wolf grabs it!" However, Kefkain simply leapt up and connected a solid spin kick to the back of Wolf's head. "I'm glad the undead freaks back home are slow an' sluggish," Austin muttered. "The Soul Drain! Kefkain's clamped on the Soul Drain! This could be over..." JR stopped when, after a few seconds of Wolf's furious struggles, Kefkain simply let go. Wolf growled as he got up to face the vampire, now much more confident and fully healed from draining the formidable commando. Wolf's own healing factor suddenly seemed a bit slow... "This is absolutely unearthly!" Tenay wailed in fright. "Kefkain charging in with a hard slash across Wolf's gut, and... *big* power bomb!" "Only a two count," Austin continued tensely. "They're both back on their feet, and..." . *SNIKT* *SNIKT* Wolf's unsheathed his own adamantium claws, and cut deep into the massive white wolf. Kefkain actually howled in pain as he glared at the steaming wounds inflicted by Wolf's *garlic-soaked* claws. "Wolf charges in with a solid shoulder block, and... Wolf's actually goten that big monster off his feet! Wolf with a vertical suplex that drapes Kefkain over the ropes..." JR called. The white wolf managed to remaining standing, only to get clotheslined out of the ring. "Wolf's maneuvering onto the ring apron outside... he's getting ready to use his assault rifle!" Tenay exclaimed. Wolf paused to carefully take aim, then unloaded a series of blasts into Kefkain. Each *silver* bullet buckled the big monster over, and inflicted wounds that stayed open. "God damn! Wolf's shot all his ammo in Kefkian... he's ditchin' the rifle and going for a flying clothesline!" Austin said. As Wolf descended, Kefkain glared up in unholy rage, raised his claws... and unleashed a cone of flame at the airborne commando! Wolf collapsed to the ground, with the fur on one side of his face and chest mostly scorched and burnt off. Austin was stunned. "What the *hell*?! He never did that before! He's just pullin' attacks out of his ass now!" "Well, think about where you are..." JR trailed off, thoroughly horrified at Wolf's injuries. "Actually, guys we should've been expecting this. Kefkain's dossier says that he's the guardian of a minor Chaos Emerald called the Blood Emerald... he just never had to *use* it before," Tenay said quietly. Wolf struggled back up to his feet, as Kefkain shimmered with a bright red glow and melted away into a mist. The cloud swept over the commando three times, and the mystical attack sent him convulsing in pain to the floor. "Oh, lemme guess... instead of turnin' into mist, he turned into some kinda nerve gas this time," Austin observed, beginning to sound a bit sick. "And... I don't believe this... Wolf's *getting back up*!" Tenay added. Kefkain scowled in mild frustration and cupped a massive claw around Wolf's head. Electricity coursed through Wolf's ravaged body, and Kefkain rolled him into the ring. To Kefkain's shock, Wolf stood back up *again*, albeit weakly. The vampire returned methodically to the ring, approached Wolf from behind, and raised one claw ominously... "MAH GOD! It's the Soul Drain! *Another* Soul Drain! This is over, there's no way anyone could possibly get up from that!" JR yelled. "*Get up*?!" Austin shouted. "Hell, I don't think he's even gonna go down! He's fightin' like a mouse posessed!" Wolf trembled in pain and anger as the red energies flooded his body... but he didn't pass out. In fact, he began struggling more furiously as berzerker fury overtook him, and managed to whip a leg back for a low blow! "No... he's *not*..." JR began, utterly incredulous. "He is!" Teany shrieked joyously. "Wolf has actually grabbed Kefkain... the vampire's up... and... AK-47!! WOLF ACTUALLY GOT HIM IN THE AK-47!!" Both furries were out, but Wolf barely managed to drape an arm over Kefkain as he collapsed onto the mat. However, it was barely before three when Kefkain raised his shoulder, breaking the pin. Kefkain rose up to his feet in a fury, and the commando rodent dove in with a slash. The beast blocked Wolf's arm and wrapped his other claw around Wolf's throat. "There it is, Kefkain with his choke slam! He's trying to turn it into a pin... but not good enough! Wolf-a-rine kicks out!" Austin called. Kefkain growled and spun the exhausted commando around, clamping on a *third* Soul Drain. "This *has* to be it," JR said sadly. "Wolf's almost out... no, he's not!" With a surge of strength, Wolf wrapped his arms around Kefkain's neck, grinding it down against his shoulder. In a burst of swiftness, and while maintaining his grip, Wolf took a slight bounce onto the middle rope, and kicked his legs out, dropping Kefkain to the mat with a very familiar manuever... "Did Wolf just do the Diamond Cutter?" Tenay said, unable to keep from smiling slightly. "Page'd be proud," Austin replied simply. Wolf was the first to his feet, electrified by the sound of the crowd. He grips Kefkain's head, ready take him up for a second AK-47. "NO! Kefkain just elbowed out of it!" JR's shriek of dismay was echoed by virtually the entire crowd. With one claw, Kefkain hoisted Wolf into the air by his throat, while his other claw gleams with an increasing amount of black energies. The robo-ref quietly hovered to the outside of the ring. Kefkain then drilled his glowing hand squarely into Wolf's chest... and the entire ring, except the corners and turnbuckles, filled with an unholy necromantic energy globe. The cataclysmic Soul Steal. When the energy died down, Kefkain was standing in the middle of the ring, eyes dimly glowing with the energy of the life force he'd absorbed. Wolf was a trembling mass, barely gripping the ropes. The white wolf grabbed his legs and pulled him back in. He slammed a foot solidly into Wolf's stomach, who coughed up some blood from the weight. Kefkain violently gestured for the robo-ref, who nervously returned to the ring. He administered the count: 1... 2... 3. "Aw... no, no, HELL NO!!" Austin growled as he pounded the table in fury. "The carnage of it all, the sheer carnage... I don't even know what to say..." JR said in shock. "What is there to say? *Kefkain* is now the AAA's first Mobius champion." Tenay groaned. "The Perfect Drug" began for the nauseated audience and announcement crew, as the robo-ref cautiously handed the Mobian title over to Dark Sonic. With evil glee, the dark hedgehog personally gave the belt to the new champion, and raised his hand in victory. Agent Q rolled in and simply attempted to get Wolf out of the ring. It looked like Kefkain and Sonic were about to celebrate by throttling another commando rodent... when Sonya Sho Robotnik dashed in to intervene. "Hello, little sister," Dark Sonic sneered. "Come to play the hero, I see." "You have no power over me, brother! Here, or ever!" Sonya defiantly scowled. "This isn't over yet. There *will* be another time." "Yes..." Dark Sonic laughed darkly. "Another time..." He and Kefkain faded away in a red flash, and Sonya and Agent Q assisted Wolf out of the ring. Wolf actually managed to limp down the aisleway, propped up by his friends on each side, and followed by a strong, respectful "Wolf-a-rine" chant from the capacity crowd. Tenay could only sigh again at the tragic loss. "Absolutely gut-wrenching," JR breathed, still overwhelmed. "Damn it all... all that, and he still lost," Austin uttered. "That rodent has got to be the toughest furball I've ever seen." "We've got something going on in the sky booth, guys," Tenay interrupts. "I can imagine what's going on now..." Cut back up to the Mobian skybox, where the characters were severely frustrated at Wolf's loss at the very least. A solemn Antoine looked about the room, and did a double take toward where Princess Sally had been sitting. At some point during the last match, Sally must've left... or something. A worried Antoine asked the others in the room, wondering where she went off to. No one saw when she left, or where she went... "Guys, this is getting weird..." Austin said. "And on that creepy note, Hour One ends," JR dismissed. "Folks, we'll be back after this..." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GYAH! Sorry it took so long! I had school, work, the usual. Plus these were two intense and long fights, so that didn't help much.
