About Star Mech Richard Kronos

We do *not* refer to Survivor here!!

Hailing from Victoria, Texas and the nephew of a certain hometown popular wrestler, Richard Kronos is your quintessential young Texan with the exception of his right leg being crippled in his first and last football game. A leg brace with a Stanley Power AssistTM hinge restores his ability to walk but not to return to a life of sports, which he was forced to by his family. This caused him to move to Victoria and live with his aforementioned uncle.

However, he has adapted to this obstacle and developed a very successful life for himself with a local Anime Interest Group with an expansive library of Japanese Animated Shows, some of them being translated by local students learning the language. That and his innate tough hide--a byproduct of the environment he lived in--made him well respected in Victoria, despite his non-conventionness of his vocation.

If you asked him, Richard would say that he was quite content with the life he chose for himself, and wouldn't actually wish to become Star Mech. But when he found one of Selene's Power Crystals and found out that there is a need for a hero and nobody would mind at all if that hero raised a bit of Hell along the way, Richard accepted being chosen to become Star Mech. It's not because of him being in any Ancient Civilization like his Japanese compatriots--when checked, there is no connection found--but out of the Americanized desire to do the right thing no matter what needed to be done. And of course the opportunities to make out like his uncle.

'Star Mech' is actually the name of the Uru Metal cast Suit of Armor that was bonded to Richard to keep him alive after he acquired the predominantly girls-only Power Crystal. When not morphed, it appears as a pair of Uru armbands. He morphs into Star Mech by banging them together. When morphed, he not only can walk unencumbered by a brace, but also fly with the help of an expandable Kelvar trenchcoat. Star Mech also has superhuman strength, enhanced senses to the point of clairvoyance and near invulnerability. His professional wrestling training serves him very well in a fight, but if it's needed, there is always his magic attack, the Crystal Shockwave. Think of the blast that killed Queen Beryl in the first season of Sailor Moon, and make it a Kamehameha Fireball launched by sholder-mounted cannons.
