About Davey-Kins FoxFire
And yes, there are two of them, the real world DVK that you can actually meet online (His addresses and IM information is located in the main page of this site) and the DVK you'll find in the universe of these comic books. While Self-Insertion is frowned upon in fanworks, original universes allow for some toleration of this practice.
Real Life Davey-kins:
Legal Name: David Gonterman, 31
Occupation: Illustrator, Web Designer and Graphic Designer
Residence: Saint, Louis, MO
"If I can't be the next Todd McFarlaine or Stan Lee, I can settle for being the next Ed Wood."
David has been in the internet scene for several years now, with the hopes that his words can develop to a level good enough for a paper published series, or at least to an improvement over the fanfictions he's more known, and at times reviled, over.
His first foray into the original work is a old comic strip centered on an living fursuit named Scarlet, which gave David a very loyal fan base from furry fans, however, it is his human-based title, Night Soldiers, which will be his currently major push for now, which is a major departure from his fanfict years-and including a character that originated from them-and an important first step toward an evolution of his Neo-Anime drawing style.
You can see his resume online.
FoxFire Universe's Davey-Kins:
Legal Name: Adam Packbell, 21
Occupation: Writer and Illustrator
Residence: Las Vegas, NE
One Christmas Eve in 1980, an ostracized 6th Grader was abducted by what some reports would call a tornado of fire, after he ran away from a school recital that turned into a joke at his expense. No traces of the boy will be found until over 10 years later, when he was picked up-barely three days older in age-by a reclusive hypnotist-slash-sleuth in Las Vegas. It is there where the child, named after a mysterious Book he was carrying, spent his teenage years, being well cared for and home schooled.
Now in his early twenties at the turn of the millennium, Adam, or his original first name 'David,' which he uses as a pen name, is a rather well adjusted Gen X young man, with no apparent sign of the extraordinary life he had. Joined by android fox-girl Tara Kit, the two strike out from his guardian's shadow, sharing the tales he gathered from his 'Book of FoxFire' and making a name for himself in the world.
