The backstory of the FoxFire Universe as compiled by Adam Packbell via notes from several of the Dominarian Books, Including his own, The Book of FoxFire. Note:  The calenders used will be as follows.  For Dominarian events, I will use the Argivian Reckoning (A.R.) calender, which calculates the years from the birth of Urza, the Great Artificer and one of the first Planeswalkers recorded in the Dominarian Books. For events on Earth, I will use the standard Julian Calender.  You can easily tell which planet I’m referring to by the calender being used.  I’ll assume that you know the basics of the Dominarian storyline and can follow along as I go.  You do have Magic: The Gathering (Sometimes referred to as ’M:TG’) where you’re reading this, do you? 1.  The Mirari, 4305-6 AR According to my research, the story officially begins with this artifact, first seen in Otaria about 100 years from the Phyrexian invasion.  It’s actual origins is unknown, as well as it’s true description.  On record it’s a sphere about the size of a marble that you use as a smasher, but it changes color and texture to whoever is holding it at the time.  Basically, it’s a power amplifier, not only increasing the energies of the holder’s magical abilities, but also filling their heads with grandiose illusions; mostly conquest, adoration, or other forms of self-gratification. This combination proved too much for anyone and everyone who as much as gotten near the Smasher, and it caused destruction for anyone who actually held it, as well as anyone within a hundred miles of the poor soul choking on their own desires.  And then they say that masterbation is bad for you. Fuu Fuu. The fact that everyone and their cousin on the continent of Ortaria was after this marble didn’t help matters, especially with a cross between the Mafia and the WWE called the Cabal dangling it up for all to see.  They were practically begging to have it come to them when their prized Dementia Caster, Chainer, got a hold of it.  (A moment of silence here, Chainer’s one of the few Black characters I actually liked) It even worked on an entire forest when Barbarian-Druid Karmal took a sword that the Mirari attached itself into and shoved it deep inside the Krosan Forest.  In time Karmal had to return to where the sword was shoved in and attempt to deactivate it. I must admit that Karmal’s action did work.  For almost a thousand years.
