INTO THE VOID

This is how I'm gonna bring Clopin into the StH universe.

Excerpt from Hellfire-Disney

Clopin, King of the Gypsies, loved being a gypsy. Performing, conjuring, running away from gypsy
haters. That was exactly what he and two other gypsies were doing: Running from townpeople.
"You run that way! You go that way and I'll go this way!" Clopin yelled. Unfortunately, the
townspeople decided to chase after him. He ran for his life, but it only led him to a dead end.
The people stopped. Clopin looked at the grim faces. "How about a story? You always like stories?
Huh?" the gypsy said.
"We only want you to do one thing gypsy: DIE!"
Clopin looked behind him. A swirling yellow thing, a void, opened up behind him. He took the last
resort. "Um, I'll be leaving now." Clopin lept into the void.

After what seemed eternity, Clopin landed on the ground. He took stock of his surroundings."Where
in the world am I?"
"You're inside the void, young man."
Clopin turned around to see a talking fox. "Void,eh? The name's Clopin, King of Gypsies. How d'ya
do?"
The fox shook the gyspy's outstreched hand. "I am King Acorn, ex-monarch of Mobius. I was over
thrown by Robotnik and exiled in here. But perhaps you might be able to help."
Clopin put his hands on his hips. "Ya don't say. Well, you saved my rear from those people back
there so it's the least I can do. Whatcha want? Performing, conjuring, what?"
"I want you to find out for yourself." King Acorn said as he gave Clopin a slight push in the 
void en route to Mobius.
"But how--?"
Clopin fell in. King Acorn threw something in with the gypsy. "Take this! You might need it! Good
luck, my friend!"

Clopin landed in a town. The sky was a dark gray. Metal buildings stood as the gypsy looked in
shock. "What moron screwed this place?"
A thing by his leg began beeping. He picked it up to discover it was a hand held computer. Clopin
opened it. A feminine voice came out. "Hello. My name is Fortunata."
"Fortunata eh? Strange name."
"Clopin isn't a normal name either gypsy! Do ya want this hologram King Acorn put on me or not?"
"Touchy. Okay, let's take a look at it."
A hologram came up of King Acorn. "Clopin, I choose you because I have been watching you. You are
loyal and kind and can get out of any situation. You will come in handy when the battle between
the freedom fighters heats up. My daughter, Sally Acorn and her friends are in training to fight
the forces of Robotnik. They will one day. You are in a city called Robotropolis. May Destiny be
with you lad!"

Clopin shut Fortunata and put her in one of his pockets. He heard screams from far away. Agiley,
he climbed up a building and jumped building until he saw the source of the sound.
A small human, who he assumed was Robotnik's lackey Snively, had swat-bots beside him. They were
killing gypsies that they had discovered left and right. From a rough estimation, Clopin guessed
about 100 were dead and 120 were fleeing. He climbed down and hid. Snively had his gun aimed at
a young hedgehog. The poor creature was only twelve and to Clopin's surprise, the little creature
reminded him of himself, by the way it dressed and thought. The hedgehog looked into Snively's
eyes as if it was trying to think of a way to get out of the mess he was in. 

Clopin remembered King Acorn's words. Was this what he was to do? Save the gypsies and lead them
to safety? He didn't care. Clopin leaped at Snively, kicking him down and knocking him out. With
an upper cut, he destroyed the swat bots. He shoved Snively away and picked up the hedgehog.
The poor creature cried. "M-My parents! Where are they?" he looked about frantically.

Clopin saw two hedgehogs, a male and a female, on the ground that looked like the young hedgehogs
parents. It was a brutal scene. They had been shot. Clopin turned away. A tear rolled down his
cheek as he looked at the young hedgehog. "I'm afraid that you'll never see your parents again."

The little creature began sobbing on Clopin's shoulder. A gyspy came up. "Who are you?"
"I am Clopin, King of the Gypsies. At least I was on Earth." Snively began coming to. 
The gypsies and Clopin ran, with the hedgehog clinging to his back. "This way!" The King of 
Gypsies yelled. All the gypsies ran into a small wooden building by the great Mobian sea and 
waited. 

Snively's voice came. "Surrender freedom fighters or else!"
Clopin yelled back. "Aw, shut up! You can forget it!"
The swat bots began banging on the doors. Clopin pointed to an exit. "You guys run! Don't worry
about us!"
Snively laughed insanely. "You may have saved your gypsy friends but you never will save yourself
!!!!!  Either join us or burn!"
Fire enfulged the building as Snively sang in an insane tone.
"Protect me Maria!
Don't let this siren cast his spell! Don't let his fire seek my flesh and bone!
Destroy Clopin! And let him taste the fires of hell
Or else let him join us and us alone

Hellfire, dark fire
Now gypsy it's your turn
Choose us or your pyre
Be ours or you will burn!"

Clopin looked about in fear. He saw oxygen tanks. He grabbed two, gave one to the hedgehog, got
one for himself, and took a daring leap into the sea.
He swam like he had never swam before! Clopin swam deep under where Snively couldn't reach him
with the little hedgehog clinging to his back as the building burned to the ground.

Snively banged on the burning building. He cried in shock at his burnt hand. "How could he have
escaped???!!!"
Suddenly, he heard a voice. "Snively, didn't I tell you to kill the gypsies?"
Snively looked into the eyes of Robotnik.

Some time later, two wet creatures crawled out of the sea to find themselves by the Great Forest.
Clopin took off his hat and emptied out the water inside it. "So, youngin, you've never told me
your name."
The hedgehog looked up at Clopin. "I'm Soni. My parents were the King of Gypsies....before they
were killed."
Clopin looked into the eyes of the twelve year old. He just couldn't turn his back on the poor
ceature. "Tell ya what. How'd ya like Clopin to adopt you?"
Soni looked up happily at the gypsy. "You would?!"
"Of course!"
"Yay! Oh thank you, Uncle Clopin!"

Suddenly, the other gypsies appeared. "Soni! Clopin! You're alive, thank Destiny!"
"We need to find a new place to live though." Clopin remarked.
The band of gypsies walked. They came to a waterfall. Clopin walked up to it and lept through the
water into a cave. "C'mon!"
The cave led to passageways to other caves. Many in fact. It soon became known to them as The 
Cave of Miracles.

Over time, the caves became rooms. One huge cave became a meeting place. And Clopin and Soni were
pronounced joint 'Kings' of the Gypsies.

Five Years Later......

It had been 11 years after the takeover and five years after Clopin had come to Mobius. The King
of Gypsies sat outside by the waterfalls. So this was what it had felt like to stay in one spot.
He pulled out Fortunata. "So, Fortunata, got anything for me?"
"Yes. King Acorn has been succesfully retrieved from the void(See the triumphet return of King
Acorn for details)."
"Alright!"
Clopin leaned back. "Ah....life is good. I got food, friends, fun, a mortal enemy. Now, if only
the Freedom Fighters knew about me."
He gave a short laugh, wishing the peace and serenity of the forest would last forever.

Okay, so now I've brought Clopin into the StH universe. And yes, he and Snively now have one of
those life long enemities. I would like to see what happens when David meets Clopin. They could
cause some real damage to Needle-nose. Yes, Soni is now 17 and the tale-end takes place while
Soni is with Sonic on the journey to fight the young ones.
