About Jonathan Brisby Jonathan Brisby, a 'Mickey Mouse' style cartoon character, is Davey-kin's oldest characters. Inspired by Don Bluth's first successful animated film, "The Secret of NIMH" and the book the movie is based on, Robert C. O'Brien's Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. It is as a counter to MGM's unsatisfactory attempts to create a sequel to the movie that J.B. and his adventures are made public. This Jonathan arrived to Thorn Valley as a child 20 human years after the NIMH escape spearheaded by his name sake, Jonathan Frisby. (The last name was changed by Don Bluth because it sounds like a child's toy.) He earned the name because of the spots in his body matches his namesake, but the green eyes, loft of hair, and evolved form even by the standards of the Rats of NIMH, are a sign that this JB is destined for things that are greater than what anyone in Thorn Valley would aspire to. It seems that being an goodwill ambassador to the Humans qualifies as this. "This here's the sole remainder of what I kept from my time as a fanfictionist. I'm doing this not just to further develop my web, graphic, and illustration skills, but also to promote this movie as a fan, with the hopes that better sequels to the original movie, one of my all-time favorites, may be created. You are invited to read these comics and learn more about 'Little Johnny's' world, with hopes that you will support efforts like this, which promote fanships to various cartoons without either corporate constraints or legal persecution. If you don't want people like me to make fan characters and stories based on your shows because of the fear that we're infringing on your rights, then don't put it out." --- David Gonterman
