New Rant: 2 Jan 2002 A quick update on one of my primary goals with Small Town X; the fan-made web episodes: As most of you Sweepers know, I did state my desire to have AVIs of the eight episodes available online, the modern day version of passing tapes around. (And if FOX wants me to really 'cease and desist,' they do the right thing and make a MiSTX Tape and DVD) I'll let you know on non FOX-sponsored bullitin boards about their availability, and my method of distribution. I'm settling on a week on Morpheus, followed by uploads to Streamload as well as Newsgroup posting. Oh yeah, if you don't have a Streamload account yet, Now is a good time to do so, and I STRONGLY suggest that you Upgrade at least one level. Streamload can be to video files as Napster is to MP3s, and while they are keeping an eye out for files that will cause the scumbags at the RIAA and MPAA, they flat out encourage fansubbed Anime episodes and online fan tapes of your favorite shows. And with Streamload, handing you the eps would be as easy as an E-Mail from my end. But I'll tell you right now that 50Megs a week is not going to cut it because I'll tell you right now, that MiSTX will be at least 100Megs or more. For each episode. And they're going to be eight of them. It seems that progress of this progress is going through very smoothly. Another MiSTX fan has a Video Capture card installed as well as the series of tapes comming his way. Once he gets them captured, he'll send the CDRs to me so I can put on some spit and polish, mostly the addition of an Header sequence, and an improved Credits Scroll. I'll keep you all up to date on this page, and have a link to a page announcing the availability of these episodes in the l337 sh17 link. |
New Rant: 2 Jan 2002 As you know, I'll be getting a new job, which takes me away from the apartment for the occasional 2-3 day periods in the week. It is my hopes that I'll be given enough time for me to announce to you when I'll be gone and back, so that nobody would worry about me while I'm gone. (I'll also seek out every chance I'll get to at least get my E-Mail, and I'll also make a goal of myself to get a cheap laptop) I'll also alter my scedule--the first one already occurred twoard Teen Angel--to work around my schedule. It is my hopes that this new annoyance--I get paid, but travelling and not being online is an annoyance--is as painless and brief as possible. |
