New Rant: 22 Dec 2001

Okay, some of my audience laugh at the Taliban Blood Noseing to their demise, and the rest need an explanation. Allow me to clarify what that term means.

You may need to get out of WB, FOX, and the Cartoon Network to find out that Anime--Japanese Animated Series--are not necessary for kids. As a rule of thumb, think of the Rating Scale of Movies--G, PG-13, PG, R, NC-17--and move forward one rating to find out what each rating is Japan is like in America. Think appropiately twoard the two selling points for any show: sex and violence. Yes, there are fates in store for Anime characters you'd *wish* would happen to any Hanna Barberra title, and there are the gratutious shower scene, silicone-enhanced bounce, and other material that would cause Democrat Senators to have strokes. And then there's the Tentacle Scenes. Don't ask. You might need the sleep tonight.

Now, there is a stock response for an Anime character--this holds more true with the character in question is male--when that character is seeing something or is thinking something that is somewhat naughty. It is a scientific fact that, when excited, their blood pressure rises. It is also proven that your average Anime Character has about twice the amount of blood that any real life human needs in their system. Add the fact that the blood vessles the inside of the nose is very prone to burst, and you have the tendency for Anime characters to have nosebleeds when aroused. And since it's anime, the amount of bloodshed is a gague of how excited they are or the inversed gague of how much control they have of their excitement. It is not impossible for a character to lose more blood by looking at Penthouse than during an amputation.

And the main reason why I'm thinking Anime Blood Noses is because I've been looking at what Militant Islamic Fundamentalism does to their Fairer Sex and why they put such restrictions twoard them. Maybe it's a displacement of energies, turning lust into rage, that makes somebody like Bin Ladin want to beat up a woman that shows as much as a toe or makes as much as a squeak. Or maybe they're too sexually repressed that they never understood what Mohammad told them how to treat woman or how woman should act. (I've checked this up: The term in mind is modesty. And this term can be defined in the environment they're in, but it doesn't mean that they should be reduced to moving piles of bed sheets. Mainly, just casual attire that's sensible and undebauchous activities would do just fine, thank you very much.) But it's very clear that they'd prefer feeling enraged over feeling aroused. At anything. Or Anyone. I pondered this in my mind as I wondered what would happen if these dorks would ever find something to be the extreme in sensuality. Something that is so sensual that it overrides their deep-rooted tendency to hate it's source.

And so this scenario popped in my head. I thought what better way to lure Bin Ladin and his brain dead embarrasment to Islam out of their hiding spaces; not by bombs or nasty stuff, because they'd rather die than to willingly surrender to Americans, but by using their sexual repression against them. Of course, knowing human nature, it'll work a bit too well, as Aline here can attest to you.

New Rant: 22 Dec 2001

A lot of people are wondering about Night Soldiers and when I'm going to continue on it. Let me put you up to date on the matter.

The pages are in the hands of my inker, JSP, and and still there last time I checked. He said that he will finish up the inking and return them to me. When that happens, I'll inform you on the progress, and I'll be very prompt in lettering, editing, and posting.

I apologise for the long delay that this is taking, and hope that this is alleviated soon.

And while I'm at it, I need to see a shrink or something. I have connected an Anime Cliche with the War on Terrorism. Was it something I ate?
