Townspeople: 'The Sunport Killer Case" Where are they now?

By the time of this comic strip, the most well known event in Sunport was the Killer and his twisted Game, where he not only pose a threat against fourteen other townspeople who were listed as the list of suspects, but of all ten of the Investigators as well. Of all the fifteen that were among the suspects, here are the list of the survivors:

Katie Harris, the lawyer: A beautiful and brilliant litigator, Katie defeats her courtroom adversaries by using her brain and her physical charms. Inside and outside the court, she is linked to the one why was inevitably the Sunport Killer, and was very distraught over the fact that her most recent client--and boyfriend--was the bad guy. For most of the remainder of the year she locked herself in her home. She will resurface soon in the comic strip, where she'll use the legal parts of this case to get her mind off her own past. Of course, Adam might need to call for backup when coaxing her out.

Alan Chambers, the owner of Sunport's only other popular spot, the Moonlight Club: Easy-going, whipsmart, totally hip with a flair for spotting musical talent, Alan has tagged Sunrise as the new getaway spot for wealthy New Yorkers. After transforming a defunct store into the eclectic Sunset Club, Alan started booking unique bands and performers. He welcomes the arrival of BakaBreakers as another place that would liven the town up some, and shares a friendly rivalry in various local sporting events.

Andrew Duncan, the chief of police: Andrew is still Andrew--Small-town cop, big-time FBI fan, Constable Duncan has perfected the technique of talking problems away. He has the unique ability to be somewhere other than where there is trouble, and is prone to mood swings. This holds especially true during prime time, where 911 calls would pull him away from 'CSI,' 'The Agency,' and his newest favorite, '24.'

Brian Kovick, the publisher of 'Internet Free Sunport,' the new local electronic newspaper he started when he was thrown out of the local and more conventional newspaper by the Sunport Killer, masquerading as a businessman. The original paper folded in Brian's absence, leaving behind an opportunity for 'Internet Free Sunport' to be a printed newspaper, effectively replacing the former paper. At least now he's no longer considered an outsider anymore, because of the replacement paper. As ambitious and driven as ever, he's currently trying to keep his professionalism in check due to the child he had with his wife . . .

Shirley Larabee, the diner owner: The sole survivor of the townspeople who were actually kidnapped by the Sunrise Killer, Shirley gave birth to a thankfully healthy baby boy, which have given her another thing to be thankful for by keeping her time and her finances too busy to gamble away, especially through online gambling. She still works at the diner and is still able to retain that outgoing nature that keeps her in good spirits with everybody.

Kristen Conner, the auto repair shop owner: After mourning the loss of her fellow Gulf War Veteran, Old Tilby, she merged her own business with that of the Tinker's hardware store after Ms. Tinker's death by liver failure, caught on by drinking more booze than she can handle; at least that's what Kristen would say. When she's not fixing the occasional car, she'll be found hunting local game, schmoozing Ms. Tinker's surviving son, keeping an eye on the other big names in the town's population--including the upandcomming Mr. Packbell--and in general out-cussing, out-smoking, and out-drinking everybody else.

Jeff Crandall, the pastor: People all but pitied Jeff as he publicly went insane during the Sunport Killer's case. He had to be sent away for a while to one of those places nobody talks about and yet everybody knows exists. You know the kind of places, where they have padded rooms and lobotomies. However, to the surprise of everybody, Jeff is rumored to have come back to Sunport and restored the Mind-Science Organization. The main clue is obvious: The 'Swiffers' have returned; Tuxedos, hi-tech brooms, and all. Think of those cute ninjas on the Little Gamers strip, only more annoying.

C-Scan, the taxi driver: C-Scan is still C-Scan, still as cheerful, loveable, and overeducated as ever, even though he's still like McGoo in the dark. Nobody would have noticed that he was indeed a Muslim until September 11, when he was the loudest voice in the town's outrage over the Taliban and was the biggest supporter of the Angel Jurabe memorial. He probably single handedly improved the image of True Islam in this part of Maine, and it gives a workable explanation for his one annoyance: The tendency to Blood Nose with impunity at the slightest provocation, resembling certain scenes on Illbleed. Adam has to exaggerate his own nosebleeds just to keep up. And nevermind the fact that, being a Muslim, C-Scan doesn't even consider doing such activities that promote this Anime-themed condition.

Stephen "Spunky" Bowden, five-term mayor, taxidermist, curio shop owner, amateur clown, and living proof that Republicans can have hearts: Not considering a sixth term after what happened last year, he's setting Constable Duncan up as his replacement for the next term. (At least as mayor Andrew doesn't have to worry about not being where he's needed)

Fred Tinker, the film student: Fred returned to film school some time after his mother died and the hardware store is taken care of by his current girlfriend, Kristen Conner. For a part of his Master of Fine Arts degree, Fred went back home to work on the BakaBreakers production for his portfolio. Adam completely understands Fred's desire to go into Adulthood with his l33t visual skillz, and offers his support in Fred's ventures.

Lindsey Bowden, the town medic: It is Lindsey who is orchestrating the transfer of the mayoral position between Stephen and Andrew. Never mind whatever or not this is known to the public or not. All that matters is that she's still in the town's good graces, and that soon she'll have her husband properly retired so she can get him to relax after the past year.

Rodney Zalesik, the tattooed one: Rodney never was one to converse much. He'd be in more danger of talking somebody's ear off than to be involved in any crime. However, he does tend to know more about what's going on than everyone else combined, and what he actually says on a certain subject should be held in high value. He's usually found shuttling between Old Tilby's Boat, C-Scan's back-up Taxi, and the occasional rooftop.
