You have to understand, I had too many trolls using aliases to flame me, and since *when* would a Marvel Legend like Steve Ditko ever had a gmail account? Or as much as look in my direction? Even if you had to set up your own GMail account, I would strongly suggest that you do so--oh, and unless you *are* Steve Ditko, no using other people's name for a sock puppet. That just says "Guy Fawkins Type Fail" in my eyes.--because I would see it more as a legitimate commenter rather than some jerk wanting to start some crap. But to answer your question, It's kinda like why I got so pissy over Archie Comics with Sonic #47. But thanks to my prescription I'm not flying off the handle. Not only did they kill off two of the most important characters in the '616' Universe, namely Steve "Captain America" Rogers and Professor X. But if you ask me, it's Cap getting wacked that really has my briefs in a bunch. And then they got Peter Parker good and stoned and made him think that making a deal with the devil to give up his relationship with MJ so that Aunt May can be dragged back to live was the tipping point (Come *on* people, Spider-man's no rookie, he would know these things!) That's why I thought about giving Stan Lee--or any other jerk responsible for the sordid state of affairs in 616-land--an impromptu one-step sex change operation. Compared to what I've done about a decade ago, I'm rather laid back about it, don't you think? ;) Three Cheers for Psychotropic Drugs. Tom Cruise doesn't know Jack Frack. I know how that caterwauling online makes as much sense as winning in the Special Olympics, so I channeled my anger into Blood and Metal, but what I've put in there will remain a spoiler for now. Let's just say that it involves a Classic Marvel Comic (And before you ask, it's an actual printed comic, the paper kind, not a Marvel Character. This is another reason why I delayed: People who use pseudonyms of Comic Book Legends could actually think I'm making Blood and Metal a Marvel Fanfiction, and go off on a poo-slinging tangent.) and how it would so some gentle prodding in the right direction. Why the sudden hate? I mean, nowhere in your works or blogs you have mentioned him before. It's kind of sudden and mysterious how you suddenly hate him when the only previous mention was a cameo in the first iteration of SPI. Looking forward to the explanation. Warmest Regards, Steve Ditko. Why kick Stan Lee? Why the sudden hate? I mean, nowhere in your works or blogs you have mentioned him before. It was a method of organization that I used during my college years and I brought the concept out of the mothballs for my fiction writing. I basically write a crude outline (more like an ordered list of various scenes, dialogs, and other plot points) and add or subtract cards as I go along writing the project. Sometimes I have to move some scenes around, or even further break down one card into several new cards if a scene put on one card needs more explanation. It's basically breaking down the proverbial element into the numerous bites. In advance, before you start 'eating'. I hear you about the creative block. It happens to all of us, even the real big names. There are also other tools I use to hop over those blocks, like Mind Maps. Go to Wikipedia ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_Mapping ) and find out how this fun tool can really help you. Good luck on your own writing as well :) Using the card deck system’s been very helpful. How do you create the outline cards you use, and how much goes on them? Do you feel like they've been helpful so far? I'm an aspiring writer myself, and I'm trying to break a bit of a creative block, as well as figure out how to get my characters from Point A to Point B in my (SADLY sketchy) novel. You might want to consider some other job. You /did/ go to college, after all, SURELY there is something you can rely on for sustainable employment. Seriously, man, trying to make a career out of furry art is like trying to make a career out of kitty litter sculptures. PS. Neither your art nor your writing has improved since Blood and Metal. For the love of god, please, salvage your dignity and just stop. It surprises me to no end that you’re still doing this. You might want to consider some other job. Comment on Mim Su Sa First Draft Completed by DaveykinsFoxFire http://foxfirestudios.net/wordpress/?p=11#comment-18 DaveykinsFoxFire Wed, 27 Jun 2007 17:47:44 +0000 http://foxfirestudios.net/wordpress/?p=11#comment-18 Side Note: Some among you might think I've failed because I didn't reach the 50K mark in length. Just as a reminder, I wasn't focusing on the length of the file, but the deck of note cards I had for the plotline. I wanted to go through the deck as fast as I can. I didn't know how long the story itself is going to be, Could be 30K could be 60K, and I wanted to keep an eye on the length as a benchmark anyway. Besides, this is only the first draft. The Closed Door Draft, as Steven King would say. Now that I got the first draft set, I can look it over and see what else I can do with it as I make the first edits. There's a good chance I need to add some parts, adding to the length. It's also the first time I really did try a NaNoWriMo book and I didn't expect to do 50K in 30 days on my first time. I'll eventually work up to that. Side Note: Some among you might think I’ve failed because I didn’t reach the 50K mark in length. There's always someone new visiting my site, especially when I post my web site everywhere I go. And if I just use DA, there's always a chance that someone who only visits the main site won't see it. So I port some of the posts. (Some, not all. I didn't port the part about me worrying about someone talking smack about my mother and her breast cancer, did I?)
