1600 or the Server Fries, Chapter 4I take a break from constructed to deal with an area I still have troubles with but still enjoy fiddling about with; sealed deck. This should coincide with the Betrayers release events in Magic Online so you can use a tool I make for myself for events like this. I call it a Cheat Sheet that lists the cards that are good in Limited and I use it for every Sealed Deck event. I wish to offer this list here as well as on my site for you to print out and use for the releases. When you start a sealed deck event, be it in a tourney or in a league, the deck builder doesn't grant you much sorting skills: It just opens up all the decks, sorts them by color and alphabetically, and presents the whole lot at once on your screen. You have to go through them all and pick out the cards that are good. Even if you have printed out decklists with ratings on whether or not a card is good in Constructed and Limited, which I have, it takes a lot to weed out the chaff. That's where this cheat sheet comes in. What I did below is take all the cards rated 'Playable' or above in Limited by Kai Budde's Champions and Betrayers set reviews posted earlier, and give the lists the same treatment; sorting them by color, and then alphabetically. With this list, you can go down each of the colored piles and pick off the cards that are good with some ease. I left lands out of this list because they're weren't so many, and by the time you placed aside the good cards you got, you can then figure out if you need them or not. As you can suppose from this text file as well as from my column, you are encouraged to only take so much out of this file. As I said, it specialized for Sealed Deck events-you'll need a different format for drafts-and it's coming from someone who, like you are if I know my audience right, isn't exactly sporting bling on their Avatars. You don't need me to tell you that it takes practice (and a big bank account) in order to be good in limited events. Those who don't have a lot of money to invest in decks and packs don't go into limited all that often. And when they do, they need all the edge they can get. Here's my edge for you to use however you wish: Kamigawa Limited Cheat Sheet White

After that, vvvvt, back on the exploration of Kami Block constructed with hopefully two decks for me to work on. I promise to keep on making these chapters until Brainburst gets so sick of me that they pay me to stop. David "Daveykins FoxFire" Gonterman http://foxfirestudios.us FoxStudiosDavid@MTGO |
