The idea is to bring one of my favored Odyssey-Block character (and one of my few fave black characters) types--Dementia Casters--into the FoxFire Universe mostly to keep Jasmine on her toes. Of course, the Dementia Caster, Nyght, is in the same fix as our Lady, being a spirit who needs to take over a human. Fortunately, she found a willing host in a little girl who's mind was trashed by the horrors of war. (Oh, and add the fact that the spirit's a guy) Initially, I wanted Raechel to be of Middle Eastern descent, but the Russian hacking of the Grimmoire occurred while I was designing her, so Rae ended up being a Russian.
