Sonic and his speed, Miles Prower was gifted with his own "special"
feature: an extra tail. Miles, however, learned how to use this mutation
to his advantage: by whirling his two tails together like a helicopter,
the young fox can go against gravity and fly for short distances.
While teased by other kids over his "handicap," Miles got hooked up with Sonic and earned the nickname "Tails." Although he long viewed Sonic as an idol, and tried to model himself after his hedgehog hero in every way, the good-natured fox has recently found himself struggling to step out of Sonic's shadow and make his own mark on history. Outside of flying and swimming, Tails also has the mechanical knack. His favorite hobby is tinkering with machines while sucking on the mint candies he loves so much. His pet project is the Tornado -- Sonic's red bi-plane -- which is usually only brought out in case of emergencies. The latest model is called the Tornado 2, and features the capability to transform to suit the occasion.
