What do you mean, "Spencer Nilsen, Richard Jacques, or "Dreams Come True""? EVERYBODY forgets that it wasn't just Spencer Nilsen who made the Sonic CD soundtrack, it was David West too!! That poor man! He is so neglected! I feel so sorry for him, for the Net community as a whole have forgotten him. WAH!!!!!!!!!!! [But it was composed, arranged, and produced by Nilsen. Infact, I don't recall seeing any "David West" in the credits at all...]

Richard Jacques, I'm afraid. His Sonic 3D soundtrack was immensely ace, and the Rusty Ruin Zone has quite possibly the best BGM in any Sonic game, ever. [You're afraid of Richard Jaques?]

Forget ALL of them.. Brad Buxter of S&K fame is the best. His Sky Sanctuary tune makes me weep, as does the S&K theme. Oh, woe is me.

Hmm.. Dreams Come True's soundtrack basically sounded just like Sonic 1's... :(
But it was still by FAR the best Sonic soundtrack. :D

In Sonic 2, they got someone from "Dreams Come True" to compose the music for the game. Spencer Nilsen composed the American Sonic CD soundtrack, as well as several other Sega CD titles. Richard Jaques composed the widely-acclaimed Saturn Sonic 3D Blast music, as well as the love-it/hate-it Sonic R soundtrack.]

Uh... they're all great! So good in fact, that I tape Sonic music and listen to it on my stereo when I can't play the games, but I'd say Richard Jaques as those songs are sooo cool! [I used to do that, but I since the CD systems came along, all I have to do is pop the game disc into the stereo and skip past the first track.]

Well, since Nilsen composed the American Sonic CD music, it royally sucks and since I have no idea who Jacques Cousteau or whatever the hoo-ha his name is I can't comment on him, BUT I like Dreams Come True So My Vote Goes For It. I've never really heard any Sonic music, but "Dreams Come True" sounds like a good choice. And in responce to the "Who is this 'Sally'?", she's a squirrel who apparently has had her tail aputated, and if you need some sort of personality, just think of Sonic as 'Hans Solo' and Sally as 'Princess Leia'. And just for the record, she and 'Bunnie Rabbot', a half robotisized southern rabbit, were featured in Sonic Spinball. So, what happened to the other 60 Zeldas? Well, Zeldas 1 and 2 were made for Nintendo. Z3 was made for Super NES, and Z4 was made for Game Boy. 5, the Ocarina of Time, is going to be released for the Nintendo 64. So, like all unoriginal people, it would supposedly join 80% of N64 Games and have "64" tacked on it. Shigeru and the Crew probably wanted to leave the 64 category, so they renamed it the "Ocarina of Time." I think the Ocarina makes a cool sound. Yuji Naka. He's so cool. Even though he didn't create Sonic he's awesome because he's like the 2nd creator. [Actually, Naka-sama and Ohshima-sama worked together to create the character Sonic. From there, the talents split into two different directions, but the character Sonic is a dual creation.]

At this point I would have to say Shigeru Miyamoto but it's really not a fair comparison since Yuji Naka's so much younger. Miyamoto has TONS of legendary series under his belt like The Mario series, Zelda series, Metriod series, Star Fox series, PilotWings, Mario Kart series, and The (soon to be) F-Zero Series. Who can match that lineup? Yuji Naka is no doubt off to a great start with Sonic, Nights, and (soon to be) Burning Rangers but he has alot of catching up to do first. And don't get me started on Yu Suzuki, his games may be great but compared to the others his games lack orginality to make them stand out (even if they do somewhat advance current genres). [You disrespect the mighty Yu Suzuki! *GG! blows a whistle, when Shun-di and Honey show up, and look a tad peeved...*]

Please don't hammer me into the ground if I say Miyamoto - he's been in the business longest after all. [Why's everyone think Miyamoto's a hated man in the GHZ?! On the contrary, with all due respect to Naka-sama and Suzuki-sama, Miyamoto-sama gets my vote too, and I'll explain farther down.]

Although I have immense respect for Yu Suzuki, who's flagship Virtua Fighter and Daytona USA piqued my interest in fighters and racers for the first time; and Yuji Naka is my role-model and created the game that changed my life, Sonic the Hedgehog; I'd have to say my vote for game-god goes to Shigeru Miyamoto. Although Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and the others never had as profound an effect on me as Yuji Naka's creations did, the fact remains that Shigeru Miyamoto decidedly created the genres. Sonic wouldn't be Sonic if Mario hadn't first defined what a platformer was. Even in the new 3D era, it took Miyamoto's infinite know-how to set the standard with Mario 64. Where there were previously fumbled attempts like Bug! and the lost Sonic X-Treme, it took Miyamoto to step in and say: "You morons! THIS is how it's done!" GameLand owes more to Miyamoto-sama than anyone else. So nyah.]
