Harbortown Summer Chapter 6- A Visitor As it turned out, the hurricane did not hit Fairwestern Harbor. However, a violent thunderstorm rocked the town and rendered the beach unsafe. Inside their house, Candy, Picky, Grace, Tokio, Bahn, Jane, Raxel, Otto, Heather, Ruth, Akira, Pai, Sarah, Jacky, Kage, Lion, Bonnie, Laura, Aoi, Jim, Lei-Lei, and Lin-Lin acted as if it were a normal day. But they were prepared for the worst. Suddenly, there was knock at the door. Wondering who could possibly be out in that weather, Tokio walked over and opened the door. "I'm afraid I got lost in the storm!" said the woman on the other side of the door. "Can I stay here a while?" "Sure," said Tokio. "Come on in." The woman entered the house and hung her coat on the rack. Then she looked around at everything and everybody (she didn't freak out when she saw Lei-Lei). When the girl saw Jacky, she stopped and stared. There was something familiar about him. "Jacky, is that you?" she asked him. "Yes," Jacky answered. "But who are you?" "Don't you remember, silly?" asked the girl. "I'm Marlene, your old sweetie!" Jacky looked Marlene over. "You haven't changed much since I last saw you," he said. "Nor you," replied Marlene. Then, noticing Sarah, she said, "Or your sister." "Odd you'd recognize me," said Sarah. "You didn't see me too much even when you and Jacky were dating." "But who are all these other people?" Marlene asked. "And why is that girl all blue?" Jacky introduced all his friends. "Lei-Lei and Lin-Lin are ghosts," he said when he got to them, "but they won't hurt you." "Unless, of course, we have to," said Lei-Lei. Minutes passed more or less uneventfully. All of a sudden, the power failed. Candles, lanterns, and flashlights were produced, and everyone remained in the living room. Marlene never went far from Jacky the entire time. To Sarah, this was nothing she hadn't seen many times before. The others, however, were very intrigued. "Looks like the relationship hasn't changed much, either," Raxel couldn't help saying. Everyone laughed. "Guess not," replied Jacky. Marlene just laughed softly before kissing him.
