Sonic Plays Baseball By Mike Gardner MikeBuzzL@aol.com It was the 7th game of the Fangor Series, the Mobian version of trhe World Series, between the Chaotix Chaos and the Freedom Fighters at Sonic Stadium, the home stadium of the Freedom Fighters. I was on the mound versus Knuckles Echidna. Knuckles led off the game with a CRACKIN' home run off me. But I retired the next 3 batters I faced. "Mike, next time Knuckles comes up try to trich him," Sonic said to me. I led off for the Freedom Fighters with a BANGIN' home run that traveled even farther than Knuckles'! Sonic continued with another homer, giving the Fighters a 2-1 lead. But Knuckles struck out the next three batters on 9 pitches. The Chaos really killed me, giving them a 10-1 lead. But in the bottom of the second inning, the Fighters hit two home runs. But the Chaos scored 10 more runs, making it 20-3. In the bottom of the seventh, the Fighters tied the game, which went into extra innings. There was a rule that all pitchers had to pitch the entire game. Knuckles led off with a homer, but I retired the next 3 batters. I led off the bottom of the tenth with a walk. Sonic fouled off the first 5 pitches, took 3 balls, fouled off another, then CRACK! hit a ball into the left centerfield stands fir a home run to win the Fangor Series! Final score: Freedom Fighters 22, Chaotix Chaos 20, 10 innings. Final score in games: Freedom Fighters 4, Chaotix Chaos 3. The crowd went wild! "We now present the Fangor Series MVP award. There was a tie between two players: Mike Gardner and Sonic Hedgehog!" said the announcer. I keep the award in my room. I will never give it away. THE END
