It seems that Sonic is gracing the cover of June '99 issues of GameFan Magazine, and a beautiful piece of original art it is. And yes, this is Patrick "Spaz" Spaziante's work, although I'm not sure if it's exclusive to GameFan or what. Whatever the case, although I'm not a huge GameFan fan, I'll be picking up this issue just for the cover:
