Kick it up FOUR Notches!

Make sure your seats are in their most upright position and your safety belts are securely fastened...this is the big one, sports fans! Sonic Team has just announced that they are working on not one, not two (as previously rumored)...no, not even three (make sure you're sitting for this), but FOUR brand new games! That's right, four. The number after three and before five. Quattro. Catre. Yon. If I'm sounding like a bad sales pitch, you can't blame me...I think I just got very, very excited.

Okay, so what's the skinny on the quadruple decker? The games will be unveiled, one by one, in issues of Dreamcast Magazine over the month of September. (And for those of us unfortunate schnooks who don't live in Japan and think $12 an issue is a little over-the-top to pay for an import magazine we couldn't even read, the announcements will be followed-up shortly after each on Sonic Team's web site. We still won't be able to read about 'em, but at least it's free...) The first one of the set will be unveiled on September 3, with the other three following on the 10th, 17th, and 24th of the same month. Furthermore, all four will be shown in some form or another at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, not to mention the arcade-only JAMMA event. This would seem to indicate that at least one of the four titles is an arcade game...hm...

Now the bad news: that's all they've let on so far. Well, almost. Just to whet our appetites and get our tickers crankin', they've released these four teaser logos. Each one supposedly represents one of the four games. Off-hand, I'd say the first game is a hurricane simulation, the second is a game where you control a magic carpet from Guatemala, the third is an educational language program, and the fourth is a hardcore hentai game. But don't trust my judgement, draw your own conclusions:

Four games all at once seems a little excessive to me, so I kind of have this theory they're four parts to one big game. That's just a guess though, don't take it to heart, but it's something to consider. The already exciting month of September just got even better...
