Sonic Adventure Translation Underway

Recently, a Sega spokesperson told the Japanese press that English versions of Sonic Adventure and Shenmue were planned, with the Sonic Adventure translation being underway as we speak.

As expected, the translation will have English text and re-dubbed English voices. The voice actors are still unknown, but I'll be sure to tack that info up here as soon as it becomes available. Let's cross our fingers and hope that Sega of America puts enough budget into the English voice production that it comes out atleast Burning Rangers quality. (I'd personally like to hear the English voice of Tillis doing Amy, and Lead doing Knuckles. Maybe get the man behind Big Landman to do E-102g's...with some sort of voice-distortion device, of course. I have no earthly suggestions for Sonic, Tails, Big, or Robotnik...)

The spokesperson went on to mention that the programming glitches will be ironed out for the US & European versions. The graphics will be updated in certain areas, the camera problems will be resolved, and the occasional slow-down & collision detection glitches will be fixed. This certainly comes as good news to those of us who are holding out for the US release, as we are ensured a flawless product while all those schnooks who jumped the gun into the Japanese release are stuck with the rushed version! Hahaha! You see my friends, it is we who shall have the final laugh!
