Pics of the Samba de Amigo Ver.2000 crowd from the JAMMA show! These
pics display the various modes in action, as well as the increased height range for the maraca
sensors. Check it out.
The Samba 2K developer diary has been updated as per usual, this time with
comments from designer Hiroyuki Watanabe.
See him speak.
The server crash having finally been surmounted, the Team plays catch-up on
those promised daily screens of Sonic Adventure 2 with a six-pack. The second pair show
off Sonic's latest urban Action Stage (poop that, I'm still calling 'em Zones). Looks like a
psuedo San Francisco, ala Crazy Taxi and Jet Grind Radio (San Fran's been popular
with Sega lately for whatever reason).
In the third set, Sega's decided to show us one of Sonic's new moves: the
Grind, which is exactly as its name implies in skateboarding lingo. This could be viciously
cool...
Round four: a rare jungle Zone. In Sonic history, there have only been two
completed jungle-themed levels: the Jungle Zone from the 8-bit version of Sonic 1 and the Meta
Junglira Zone from Sonic & Tails 2 (Triple Trouble). This one looks like it was directly
inspired by Jade Gully, one of the planned X-Treme levels.
And of course, eight new Phantasy Star Online cards have been uploaded.
Oh yeah, remember that Samba puzzle clock from day one? Three more versions
have been added: Sonic Adventure 2, ChuChu Rocket!, and Phantasy Star
Online. They're purdy. Go and
download 'em.
